Question: Will a Dean Colt 12 string fit? Are the listed dimension from the outside of the case or inside?

The Colt is a couple of inches too long for this case. The Colt is 46", this case is 43.5".

Currently trying to air it out and loaded it with fabric softener to try and get rid of the smell. It may not bother others but I find it unpleasant. I say this because it transfers to your guitar which is right under your nose. If you have a chance, check that out first to make sure you're ok with it. Only reason I gave it an 8 out of 10 for quality. Latches are solid, and lockable. I have a Hagstrom Viking Delux and it fits perfectly.
