FSR American Professional Stratocaster, Ash w/Maple Neck - Butterscotch Blonde
This product is no longer available.
Drawing from the look and feel of the beloved 1952 Telecaster this Limited Edition offers a select Ash body with a beautiful Butterscotch Blonde finish. Tinted Maple Neck, Single Ply Black Pickguard and knurled flat-top Telecaster control knobs.

Developed by pickup master Tim Shaw, the brand-new V-Mod single-coil pickups are voiced specifically for each position, mixing alnico magnet types to produce powerful, nuanced tones with original Fender sonic DNA. Retain high end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit that lets your tone shine through in all its glory. The new modern "Deep C"-shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords.

The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Stratocaster is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend. Only 100 of this Limited Edition were manufactured exclusively for Long and McQuade.

Exceptional build quality, frets and Finnish are smooth and feel great.electronics and hardware are great.
The ash body is the true upgrade that you cannot easily get.It resonates with bright harmonics and sustains incredibly.I play it unplugged often and can hear sounds and tones clear,
The vintage look ,tribute to the Tele ,makes this guitar look and feel special. Ash body on any strat is a huge difference in sound ,aside from pickups and fret material etcetera ,but this strat has all the right parts.

This guitar just sounds sweet - right out of the box. Has a a nice vintage look, the chrome knobs are a nice touch too. Just a pleasure to play again and again - even if it is pricey.

A beefy ash guitar with warm tones. I really love the wood grain and consistincy of colour from the body through the maple neck and headstock. Ideal for blues jazz and rock. Incredible lows yet still can get the chime and quack with the appropriate settings.

My first Strat. Owned a Tele, and two LPs, sold them all when I stopped playing (idiot). Covid lockdown bored need a guitar again and figured I’d get a Strat as it really is so versatile. Not huge on Strat Poly finishes so when I saw this finish I really got excited. Love this thing. The neck is unreal. Plays real nice, versatile tones from the 5 way PUP positions. Never played a neck that fits my hand so well. Would give more stars if available.

The fit and finish on mine is flawless. These v-mod pickups are something else. Compared to other American strats with standard pickups there is a noticeable difference. Obviously tone is subjective but for me the v-mods are clear winners. I really dig the telecaster knurled knobs, if you're going to pay 2k for a strat why not buy one that has something just a little bit unique. The case is awesome two, super sturdy, airplane grade locking case. Guitar fits like a glove in it. I'm in love with mine and am so stoked to read that I've got one of the hundred made!

This thing plays like butter and is visually stunning. What a guitar! I especially like the V-Mod pickups. They each have a strong unique voice and flavor. I highly recommend!

1 minor complaint on the router bit marks on the pickguard edges...but it doesn't affect the sound...so it's a keeper lol I think these pickups sound great and the neck/body fits me comfortably. i'm really pleased with the guitar, and the great staff at the north store.

I picked up one of these limited edition butterscotch Stratocaster just the other day. It is amazing, plays like butter an sounds clear and full the Tim Shaw v mod pickups are perfectly voiced. There are a few L&M around me and I went An tried this model at each one, the one I ended up buying has a slightly thinner neck and a heavier body the others had a chunckier feeling neck an lighter in body weight. (Just personal taste) all and all it's a great guitar and with only 100 being made if your looking for a professional Stratocaster I strongly suggest checking this one out before they're gone.

Got a great new Strat....Fender FSR American Professional Stratocaster, Ash w/Maple Neck - Butterscotch Blonde from L&M in Toronto....loving it....and it is like my Tele. The single ply black guard definitely pops against that butterscotch poly... A classic look. I really like it! Other than the Tele control knobs, it's a Strat through-and-through.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
