I originally got a plastic foldable stand from Amazon, and it was both bigger and lighter than I expected, and did not work well at all. Picked this up at L&M, it's foldable, works really well with my baritone uke. The weight seems very well balanced, and I would not hesitate to get a second one for my u-bass if I ever need it.

I went into L & M in Stratford to browse. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I mentioned to the clerk that I needed a hangar for my concert size Ukulele because it was in danger of getting sat on.
He pulled the UM01 stand from the stock room, and I took it home. The stand works great and it is supposed to be safe for all finishes. I am very happy with this stand.

I have been looking for an affordable Ukulele stand on amazon. Never thought of checking Long-Mcquade until I asked the sales rep Ryan. Prices are so much better at Long -Mcquade. This stand is study, well made and easily worth much more than $19.99
