Hat Trick G2
Rhythm Tech pioneered the original and much imitated Hat Trick 15 years ago, a simple Hi-Hat tambourine that gave drummers a way to play tambourine patterns with their hi-hat pedal.

Now we offer the Hat Trick G2. A significant step ahead featuring a unique Quick Release Knob that makes it fast and easy to put it on and take off the Hi-Hat pull rod.

Additionally the G2 incorporates a stick friendly soft playing surface, so stick patterns can be used as well as the foot pedal.

A super strong polymer frame keeps it light and responsive while the famous Rhythm Tech Tech nickel or brass jingles give it its classic Rhythm Tech sound.

The pros: the quick release makes set up and tear down extra easy, and this is a good sounding tambourine.
The cons: it's made from 2 plastic rings, so about a week after I got it, the top ring with the playing surface broke off so I'm left playing on a ridge of plastic that dents my sticks. A few weeks after that, one of the bangle pairs snapped off.
Overall, it sounds good with the pedal, but it's too cheaply made to be played with sticks.
