I stream e-drums online and needed a mic that would pick up just my voice and not the background noise of the kit. This mic is successful in that regard - the pickup pattern is very tight. The sound quality is alright. My biggest complaint is the frame. The metal wire frame it comes with is very uncomfortable with just two thin sheets of foam reinforcement on the places with the most contact, and a velcro/foam strip I struggle to find any point of. It gives me a headache if I wear it for more than a couple hours at a time. Overall, not the worst $70 I've ever spent,.. but after 6 months I'm already looking forward to upgrading.

Works well at first, the sound quality is actually not bad. They need to redesign the wire or attachment. I have purchased two of these, the first one lasted a year and then cut in and out. Purchased a new one and that lasted about 3 months, a friend checked the connection, the wire was breaking at the cable ties used to secure the cable to the band. Repaired and then the cable kept shorting out along the headband. I only play once a week, not a lot of use, I would not bother unless you intend to use it less. I am a drummer so there is a lot of movement going on

I'm a drummer who is starting to sing - bought this mic to test the waters. The headset is a little heavier than I exptected. It includes a nylon strap with velcro ends, which I removed and do not use. The headset feels solid, but the cable feels thin and flimsy. 15' cable is a good length. Really needed to boost the mids to get a decent sound out of the mic; the highs (5k and above) are a little brittle. very bottom is a little tubby, but that just might be the proximity effect. No issues with feedback at all. handles high volume easily. an inline switch to mute the mic would be a super handy feature. Some kind of case would be nice, too. But for the price, you're not gonna do much better.

I wanted a headset mic for my Acoustisonic amp. I tried this one because it doesn't need phantom power. I returned it the next day. I thought maybe my amp wasn't good enough, but when I test other mics (battery powered ones), I realized that this mic won't work for my needs. With this mic plugged in, and the volume on full, it is functional, but you hear more of the knocking around of the cables than my voice.
