Many pedals try to emulate the sound of tube breakup; instead of emulating tube distortion, Fender used actual vacuum tubes to give you the real deal in a compact pedal. The heart of the MTG's design is a NOS (New Old Stock) USmade 6205 preamp tube. 3-Band EQ with Tight control and switchable boost - with its own Level and Boost controls - makes it easy to dial-in just the right sound.

Co-designed with Bruce Egnater, the MTG Tube Distortion is an all-original Fender circuit. The chassis is crafted from lightweight, durable anodized aluminum, and the Amp Jewel LED gives your pedalboard the classic Fender look. The LED-backlit knobs show your control settings on a dark stage at a glance.

Use the MTG Tube Distortion on your next gig or session to bring the sound of true tube breakup to your rig.

This pedal uses a real tube inside about the size of a AA battery. This pedal uses a 9v adapter and has a converter inside that brings it up to 150v which allows lots of headroom. Depending on how hot your pickups are will determine how much you can drive this pedal, with that said i wouldnt call this a straight up distortion pedal rather overdrive/distortion. Lastly the tones of this pedal is so great and musical and responds to my playing style so well. Love this pedal!
