World Ready power supply
The ultimate in convenience for the traveling musician. The built-in power supply operates from 90 to 240 Volts, making life a lot easier for anyone on the road as theres no complicated fuse changing just plug and play!

Digital Recording output
The AES/EBU connector means you can record straight into your DAW, such as
Pro Tools or Logic. For maximum flexibility its also S/PDIF compatible and switchable from pre to post in the pre-amp section.

Integrated DI box
Quality can vary wildly with built-in DIs, but RH450s DI is transformer balanced and galvanically isolated from the rest of the amp, which means no ground loops or hum. And dont worry about long cable runs RH450 will draw at least 100m of cable with zero drop in audio quality.

Even though the integrated DI in RH450 does not need 48v phantom to operate, it does not get harmed either if your sound engineer accidently leaves it on.

Portability
The versatility of RH450 wouldnt really make sense if it came in an oversized, bulky box. Its stylish design with the smooth grabngo handle just spells out portability. It sets your creativity free and screams for you to bring it along wherever your bass talent takes you. Bring your own sound for whatever show or studio session youre involved in or jam out on the tour bus, at the hotel room, at home - and hey, it works for rehearsals too.

Power Handling
The 450w high power output level of RH450 is accomplished by using Class D amplifier technology in combination with TC Electronics Active Power Management. APM effectively means that the amp behaves very much like a tube amp when getting close to maximum performance by optimizing the power impact, contrary to the hard-clipping tendencies of transistor amps and most other Class D amps.

Active Power Management
This abstract outlines the background and basics for the TC Electronic Active Power
Management introduced on the RH450 Bass amp.

This is my main amp besides also owning an SVT and a traynor tube amp. The DI is great. It's very useful to have digital presets that never change unless you change the presets. Very powerful. Outdoor gigs push it a little bit but didn't run out of headroom yet. I've had it for a number of years now and am honestly still discovering what the tone shaping can do. The compressor sounds good and the tube tone is not bad. I'd like to compare it to a mark bass. Where it really shines is the ability to change presets, it's light weight and great sound through a P.A. I got mine used with a 2x10 cabinet so I think the retail price is a bit much. Sounds much smoother than other solid state heads I own (Gk 400rb and LH500). You don't notice it's solid state. Would be nice to be able to run a 2 ohm load but in reality I never need that much cabinetry and wouldn't want to cart it around. Never tried the digital out. May be great for home recording. I would replace it and probably not go mark bass if something happened to it.

I've owned this amp for 5-6 years now. Really great feature set, adequate power, has a tone that's a mixture of modern + warm tubes, all wrapped up in an attractive, slick and modern casing.

My main amp for years now! Great sound, very tweakable, built-in tuner, compressor and tube emulator. I've used this on hundreds of gigs and recordings with electric bass and double bass. Highly recommended.
