I got this Godin recently and it has done everything I wanted it to do and more, there are many tone options and is very versatile. Besides the tone, the body and satin neck is very comfortable. Overall killer guitar and definitely recommend.
(I got this guitar when it was about $1500, but I still recommend it if you have the money to spend)

I purchase this guitar 2 years ago and reviewed it then. After two years of owning this instrument I still feel the same way I did in my original review. Quality, tone and feel are just top notch. My wife laughs at me because I will just sit in my chair watching a TV show with it in my lap. I just don’t want to put it down. I know… sounds corny! I just can’t see anyone regretting owning this incredible guitar. It’s a forever guitar for me! Am now looking at a Godin Summit Classic Havana Brown A/E…

if I was going on tour for 20 years this I the guitar I would take. I have recorded almost any genre you can think of on this guitar alone and it never seems out of place. I originally stumbled upon it shopping for a bass and thought the colour was terrible, but my entire three hours in the store I did not put it down. I kept coming back to play it and the colour grew on me (it is now my favourite finish). I cannot suggest this guitar enough it has turned me into a die hard Godin player

An amazing array of sounds is available from this guitar. Very little adjustment needed on the pickups before it had the tones I wanted. Build quality is top notch and the weight is nice. Overall a great guitar I’m glad I purchased!

I got this guitar last July for my birthday, had always wanted to like Tele guitars but the way how my arm sit on them just never felt right, to sharp to uncomfortable. I love the take that Godin did on this tele inspired guitar, the settle but so effective ergonomic cut makes my arm feel at home when playing, I come from offsets and strats so I know is not exact he same comfort but this model just feels right when playing it. The Neck is smooth like butter, no too skinny no too chunky just right, the finish doesn’t get your hand stuck like a glossy one would do, although my only issue and I notice it after I bought if and okay with it for weeks, is where the fretboard and the neck meet there is a tiny bit of space almost like the measurements were off for millimetres so the edges aren’t as smooth as they should off, only reason why I didn’t give a full 5 stars to this guitar. Out of that the guitar plays flawless, ridiculous amounts of tones possibilities with the 5 way switch +HDR+ tone and volume knobs. The 59’ pickup is well balance the bridge pick up can be a bit too snappy or trebly for some but I have manages so far with the tone knob.

Best guitar I've ever owned. Tele. Solid set of pickups with a 5 way selector plus revoicer. full of canadian spirit. Neck is excellent and guitar is super lightweight compared to others in its class.

This was a wow moment for me. I was in my local Long & McQuade store looking for a Telecaster. I tried all kinds from MIM, Squire, MIA, and so on. Then I saw the Stadium '59 in desert green. I loved the look and when I picked it up and started playing it, I was in heaven. It's much lighter than a standard Tele and more ergonomic like what you would see on the back of a Stratocaster. The HD button is like having two sets of pickups in one guitar. Godin out did themselves with this gem. If you're looking for a Telecaster type electric guitar, give this one a try too. You won't be disappointed.

Very well made. Well thought out ergonomics for a classic tele style. Much lighter and more comfortable than a traditional telecaster. Love the pickup configuration. Great range of tones. Probably the prettiest looking guitar I've owned. Love it.

I have played this guitar in store and then bought the Rosewood Neck model. I have had this guitar for two days and cannot put it down. First off the quality of the build is very evident. The frets are perfect, as is the fit and finish. This is a high quality guitar and Godin has won me over! I own high end Fender Strat and Tele units along with an Ibanez and a Epiphone Les Paul. This Godin blows them out of the water. This unit has so many tonal possibilities and your can't take your eyes off of it or put it down. The Seymour Duncan neck pick up is sweet and deep. While the Godin Cajun bridge pick up is ready to attack any style of tunes you want to play. The reviews that I read while researching this guitar constantly mention that this guitar is high quality and a great value for the money as if to imply it's just a good deal for the price. I believe this guitar is a under rated guitar because it doesn't have the big name on the head stock. This guitar is a forever unit and I recommend if you are in the market for a prized possession give this unit a test drive, you won't regret it.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
