I purchased this via online out of the Joilette store in Quebec, took quite a while for it to arrive and had some external box damage and must have been hit hard as the nut was protruding a bit on the big E side. Luckily I know how to set up guitars quite well and was able to correct all the issues. There was also a small bit of wood chip that had fallen from somewhere but I could not find anywhere on the guitar it had fallen off of. I did not want to send it back because I was having a helluva time finding one anywhere in Canada that was new. The Joliette store was fantastic for my woes and took great care of me in all ways. I have had this guitar since Feb 2023 and it's all I record with now via mic...simply amazing tones, warmth, bass response, light and just so comfortable to play. Plane Jane looks but don't be fooled, these are 100% pro grade instruments. One can play any style one wishes and it all works. Next up will be the FS5...whenever and if I can ever find one...lol

The FG5 is an all around great guitar. The neck is as playable as any Taylor, and the sound is something special. I'm excited to see how it opens up after a couple of years.

I was looking at this guitar and the Masterbilt Epiphone Excellente, both are as rare as hens teeth. Both are super well built and sound unbelievable. I was going to buy the Epip but it was gone the next day and I didn't think the Yamaha was going to stick around much longer either! So I grabbed it right away. and I could not be more satisfied. It may not be as flashy as the Epip but it's not about the flash it's about the sound and it sounds great and the neck WOW smooth as butter. I changed up the strings to PB mediums and to me it sounds even richer. Would I recommend this guitar heck yea I would!

No Buyer?s Remorse with Yamaha FG5 Folk Guitar

My intent walking in Long McQuade was purchasing either the Martin D18 or the Gibson J45 guitar for writing music. I felt confident that afternoon walking in the music store and picking one of my favourite two guitars, until the Yamaha FG5 got in my hands. First I tried the E Chord and then the G Chord this FG5 folkie-like guitar could sing. Whatever was coming through the Strings either picking or strumming (there was a problem here) I could not put this guitar down. So I placed the down payment and brought the guitar home. In my opinion, this folk guitar has soul and is made for creating songs. I named my Yamaha FG5 guitar Jimmy Dean the Rebel, because how it can push out original songs and kick out new music in any given key. I have No Buyer’s Remorse with this guitar and I am very satisfied with my purchase. Thank you Long McQuade since 1975.

Had mine shipped from North Vancouver. Only place that had a new one in stock. Ordered on a Wednesday got it on Monday!! Amazing sound and craftsmanship! Easily compares to a martin D18.. the sound is so close to each other!! Well worth the money we are paying!! You won't be disappointed with this Guitar

I Originally had a Lower End Martin (DAEX1) and sold it, i went into the North Vancouver location and the Associate recommended me a Yamaha FG800m and from there i was sold on Yamaha Instruments. After owning my FG800m for about 2 years i decided to research into the "Red Label" Made in Japan models and I instantly fell in love with this FG5. I put my deposit down and when it arrived I was amazed at the build and quality this Instrument shows. Its got a super rich tone and great playability. I whole heartedly recommended this guitar for anyone looking for a good quality acoustic

Achat d’années additionnelles de garantie

Certains fabricants offrent une garantie de plus d’un an, mais qui est en général limitée et moins avantageuse que la nôtre. Lorsque c’est le cas, la prolongation de notre protection vous sera tout de même profitable, du fait qu’elle est plus complète et pratique.

Vous pouvez acheter des années supplémentaires de notre protection si vous souhaitez en profiter plus longtemps. Les tarifs sont les suivants :

  • Produits NEUFS : à partir de 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf par année supplémentaire.
