The next generation of the Marshall DSL series amps are laden with Marshall tone, features and functionality for the novice, as well as pros performing on the world's biggest stages. The new DSL models feature adjustable power settings, which delivers all-valve tone and feel, at any volume, from bedroom to stage. The new technology adjusts power to the valves, instead of just turning off valve stages, allowing the amp to remain articulate and dynamic.

The DSL is now more versatile than ever, with features including discrete master volume controls for each channel, built-in reverb and resonance controls. This Classic version of Marshall's DSL40 CR features vintage large check grillcloth with vintage block Marshall logo.

Features

CHOOSE YOUR TONE
Using the reverb, FX loop, tone shift controls and two footswitchable gain channels you can create a style that suits you and another to release your alter ego.

Bought amp early December 2019, returned it for MIDI repair a few days later, haven't seen it since, but it's a great amp, it just doesn't feel like my amp because I don't have it. It had the usual problem of Clean channel being quiet compared to Gain channel settings, nature of the beast. I love the tone or at least the tone I remember. I've got the bad feeling the MIDI card is faulty, and with all the tiny little relay switches on the circuit board that could break down, I would definitely take a back up amp with me to any gig!

First off, I purchased a Gibson Les Paul last year and had been running it through a solid state amp. Was missing "that" sound. Tried different effects to try and get "that" sound but no luck. One day while I was browsing I tried the DSL 40, right away i knew this was the missing piece. Purchased the amp and never looked back. Amazing amp for home use also, so crisp and clear even with massive loads of distortion. if you are looking for the next step in tone, and you know what I'm talking about, get this amp. You will not be disappointed....

Sounds exactly like a Marshall should. I rarely use the high-octane lead channel so I can't comment on it much, but the classic gain sounds great. Good, ballsy rock n' roll amp. If your guitar has great volume and tone pots (and you use them) it's really responsive. One of the solders finally came loose after a few years, but aside from that I've had no issues. (note: I have it on casters and should have had it serviced before the incident anyways) Long story short - take care of her, and she won't let ya down.
