J-200 Standard
From its inaugural appearance in 1937, Gibsons SJ-200 set a standard others have been trying to match ever since. Todaynearly 71 years laterthe legacy of Gibsons King of the Flat-tops lives on in the new SJ-200 Standard. Upon its introduction in the late 1930s, the SJ-200 immediately filled a need for a deeper, more balanced and powerful sound. It gave purveyors of the new American music scene of the 1930s a reliable, well-built instrument, capable of projecting the sound of the guitar well beyond that of any other acoustic on the marketa fact that still holds true today. It is simply the worlds most famous acoustic guitar, and certainly one of the most popular.

This saying totally holds true for this guitar! It's expensive but totally worth it! It's a guitar that can be passed on as an heirloom item and it will also hold its value well. The sound is huge and very well balanced and the harder you strum it the better it sounds too! Go get one you won't regret it!

I got this guitar at the NE location in Calgary, AB and I can't put it down. After playing it for a few months now the sound has opened up more and it sounds louder and richer than when I bought it I guess the solid maple back and sides takes a bit longer to open up. There's nothing like stepping up and playing on stage with this big baby! It's worth every cent and it's heirloom quality that you can pass on to your kids because Gibson holds up its resale value quite well if you want to sell it in the future but why would you want to do that? this guitar just rocks!!!

I've wanted one of these amazing instruments for decades. I'm glad I waited through the awful Gibson years until they started making them in Bozeman. These Montana build acoustics are some of the best in the world!

This guitar will give very clear tones as well as booming sounds, depending how it is played. Great for finger picking or flat picking and strumming. It just fits right in any genre.

I bought one of these over a year ago and it sounds even more beautiful than when I first bought it. This is a top notch guitar. The super jumbo size gives it a nice, deep resonant bass, beautifully clear mids and bright highs. This guitar would be worth double what they sell it for just for how it sounds alone.
