What a great value. Quality wood that isn't laminate. Solid wood, mahogany back and sides and a solid cedar top for this price? Wow. I played it for 2 minutes in the store and that's all it took. I tried others for double the price and no real playable or sound difference. I'm a Godin fan.

I'm a neophyte to classical guitar, but I play allot of finger style folk so I thought I would give classical a try. I bought the cutaway version of the Concert that comes with the built in pickup and tuner and almost a year later, couldn't be happier with my purchase. This one sits comfortably on my rack next to 2 Martin steel string guitars, holds it's own very nicely, and gets played allot. As usual with most guitars made by one of the Godin companies (for anyone who doesn't know, La Patrie is a Godin brand) the build quality and materials on these guitars are very good and I would recommend the Concert highly as a quality alternative at a very reasonable price.

As a newbie to classical guitar I am impressed with the quality of the sound from the La Patrie Concert classical guitar. Great looks, wonderful tone. Good craftsmanship. Great value for the money. Highly recommended...and Canadian made is an added bonus.

After now owning this little gem for several months, thought it was time to express how pleased I am with it. It's hard to believe an instrument of this quality and playability could cost so little, without any apparent compromises in construction. An all-solid-wood guitar yields such a warm voice which projects well. While the LaPatrie Concert may not of the aesthetic goodies that luthiers often take pride in, the sound is first class. The stock strings sounded a bit flat, and the folk at L&M rcommended the Pro Arte "Composites", and what a difference they've made! More low end and detail, as well as a more seamless transition from the steels to the nylons because of the composite G string. This guitar warrants a high recommendation, and even moreso because of the price point.

This classical guitar is truly a great value. Having played the guitar for several months now, I can honestly say that this is worth every penny. The sound quality is amazing and solid wood construction makes this guitar unbeatable in it's price range. If your contemplating getting a mid range classical guitar on a budget, this guitar is for you. Godin Guitars have truly exceeded my expectations in the classical guitar scene, making performance level classical guitars both more accessible in price and in quality. Plus, It's made in Canada!

She's a beauty! Simple butterfly-pattern rosette and gold-plated tuners with white pearl buttons. The body of the guitar has a glossy finish and the neck has a soft satin finish. It plays really well and sounds incredible! At the store, I compared it with a $2499 Manuel Rodriguez guitar. Aside from the Rodriguez being a bit lighter and nicer looking appearance-wise... I honestly could not tell the difference in sound. What I find most impressive about the La Patrie Concert is it's value! For only $410, these newer La Patrie Concert models are full solid-wood guitars... including a solid cedar top with solid mahogany back & sides. I did my research on a lot of classical guitars before purchasing this La Patrie, and believe me... this is a steal! Overall 10 out of 10. Good looks, great playability, awesome sound, incredible value!
