Have been running these on my Composite Acoustics Legacy, and found they really balance the tone out very well.

We've all tried lots of different strings, trying to get that "tone" that pleases our own ears. I starting using these about a year ago on two all-solid-wood acoustics, one being a Concert-sized made of Sitka spruce & mahogany, and the other being a Dreadnought made of Engleman spruce & rosewood. I hear the best of both guitars with Earthwood 80/20's. Clarity, sustain, brightness, boldness, and full-sounding overtones ... these will really let you hear the woods in your guitars do what they can do.

The guitar I put these on is a solid Engleman Spruce top with solid Rosewood back & sides, woods which tend to produce a darker tone. These have brightened up the mid-range somewhat, without muddying the bass or treble registers.
What really stands out is the overtones which are more audible than I've ever heard, with the 5th's and 7th's ringing clearly beneath the root note. Beautiful full voice! They'll requiring monthly changing (as most uncoated strings do) but the amazing sound is well worth it. My favorite strings on this guitar!

Since 1991 I have used the best expensive strings, after awhile they sound dull, I bought these string for half the cost, they wakened up my guitar, now sounds louder and brighter and last longer, all these years wasting money.

I play mostly finger style on a 12 fret shorter scale guitar - Tak 740 fs. Cedar top with mahogany B&S acoustic. Need the Bronze to brighten the tone over Phos strings and am very pleased with the tones. Also wanted slightly thinner strings and these work very well with the selected range. Been playing them for 3 weeks now and the hold tune well. Will stick with these strings for now. The guitar likes them.
