Description
NYXL0946 is a hybrid set, combining the high strings from a super light set (.009) with the low strings from an regular light set (.046). The result is a set with strong fundamental low end, but with super flexibility on the high strings.

Been on a hunt trying to find a string that keeps tension, feels good, sounds good and lasts. I've tried Ernie Ball (some are good), coated strings like Elixir, even some more obscure brands - but the NYXL was a winner from the start. Was easy to tune up after install, kept tension with minimal prestretch and felt really good on the fingers. A noticeable difference in tone. These will be my go-to from this point irrespective of the price, they're great strings.

I change my strings probably more often than most and am very picky about what I put on. In over forty years of playing guitar these strings are the first ones that really sold me on first time using them. They have exceptional punch and clarity and hold up to finger sweat and heavy playing as well or better than any other non-coated string I’ve used. I now run them on all my electrics and the greatest thing is they have a great selection of hybrids like the 9-46 set. I’ve recently picked up the new XT to give a try. But past experiences with various coated strings has not been good. The NYXL’s just sound so good...

Amazing strings is not saying enough, amazing enough to write a review. I've used these on my American Pro strat R/W neck or over 2 years now. Easy to say, best to stay in tune and have not broke one, honestly. Well worth the extra coupe dollars for a set of NYXL's
