Professional guitarists in all musical genres have relied on the Fender Telecaster guitar since its early 1950s introduction for its powerful tone and smooth playability. Had this for a few weeks. No complaints. Nice tone, no buzzing, nice action. Electronics all good. Just needs the fret ends filed a bit. Best guitar for the money.

After a fare bit of homework between the U.S. and Mexican Standard Tele I decided that there was very little difference in the sound of the two. Certainly not a thousand dollars worth of it. So I purchased the Mexican and I am more than happy with it. Great sound and beautifully built instrument.

Bought it for the sale price of $630 about a year ago. I must say that the Mexican made Fender instruments are very solid and, aside form the serial number, it is getting more difficult to tell the difference between Mexican and American made products. Nice job Fender!

When I was looking to buy a new guitar I wanted to make sure I got exactly the right guitar for me. I rented pretty much every guitar I could get my hands on from Long and McQuade. I tried everything from a Gibson Les Paul Traditional to Fender American Strat, to a Yamaha Pacifica. The last guitar I thought I would ever like was a Telecaster...I was shocked when I got the Tele home. It stays in tune like no other guitar I've played, and the big thing is the versatility of sounds you can get from it. Sure, its great for country, but its fantastic for jazz, and for hard rock too. Don't let its simple looks fool you The guitar is a beast. It plays like butter, and is so comfortable that it feels like it is an extension of my own body. Do yourself a favour and try a MIM Tele before you buy anything else. Rent one for a week, and you will be sold.
