Virtual Drums Like You've Never Heard Before

Steven Slate Drums 5 takes virtual drums to a whole new level. SSD5 features an innovative drum playback algorithm that recreates the mechanics of a drummer hitting an acoustic drum, providing the most realistic sound for your music. This new version introduces over a dozen new Deluxe 2 kits and improves the sound of all your favourite classic kits. The library contains 77 snares, 84 kicks, 58 toms, 37+ different cymbals, 9 percussion sounds (including clap, tambourine and cowbell) plus 4 sound effect instruments. SSD5 includes famous 'Artist modeled' kits, with even more available separately as expansion packs.

The User Interface has also been redesigned to be easier to operate than ever. New users will find the system fun and easy to learn and returning users will be able to immediately immerse themselves in the plethora of options and capabilities. With options like kit construction, instrument mixing, kit mapping and more, you can create a kit and sound for any style of music.
SSD5 offers support for Windows in AAX/VST formats and macOS support in AAX/VST/AU formats.

Easy Editing
SSD5 makes editing your kits a breeze. Select individual drums, customize the mics and routing, choose your MIDI maps, customize your velocity and dynamic curves for each drums, and build your custom tone exactly as you want it.

Mix It
SSD5's mixer allows you to get the perfect mix of your drums, with easy access to ambient room mics and close mics. It allows you to easily route your drums discretely to your DAW so you can use your favorite plugins to get the ultimate drum tone. We also added a new master volume control to the entire plugin.

Map It
Customize your MIDI Map with SSD5's completely reworked MIDI MAP converter. Everything in a kit preset is easily mappable and re-mappable plus you can quickly load mapping presets.
