The Tonebone Classic Trimode is our most progressive pedal ever! Trimode gives you instant access to superb clean, rhythm and lead tones without tap dancing. And tone you will receive. Based on the heritage of America's finest tube amplifiers, the Trimode delivers five generations of tone from the slight overdrive of early rock & roll to blistering power tones of today's high gain amps.
Following the award-winning Tonebone Classic, the Trimode combines the warmth and even harmonics of a 12AX7 tube with our unique dual-stage drive for the natural dynamics and response of a vintage tube amp.

As the name implies, Trimode has three settings: 'True Bypass Clean Mode' for the natural tone of your guitar - direct to your amp; 'Rhythm Mode' with input drive, output gain and our unique Interstage drive to precision-tune the mayhem you are about to unleash; and 'Solo Mode' with its own input drive, output gain, and mid boost for days of sustain. Trimode goes even further with a built-in effects loop on the solo channel that lets you instantly engage a delay or pedal chain with a single foot action.

Trimode: 3 modes, huge tone and amazing dynamics finally, a pedal that sounds and feels like a real tube amp!

This thing is just all kinds of beautiful! I am just scratching the surface of this pedal, i imagine it will take me years to master it. Therefore i'll just run through the categories above: Features: The features definitely exceeded my expectations. The "Filter" option is a remarkable addition that i did not see coming. I switch from a digital Marshall pre-amp to a Peavey tube head quite frequently. The filter option allows me to clean the high end without modifying the EQ of the signal, Very helpful! On the flip side, i would have prefered the "TOP END" option to be available on both channels independently, however this can be ammended by using a 11 band EQ wired in parallel through the "INSERT" input. Quality: As I have only owned this pedal for about a week, i would not be able to speak on long-term efficiency. Having said that, there were virtually no defects that i noticed while inspecting the unit. The foot-switches were a little stiff, but i imagine this will go away with time as they get worked in a little bit. Value: I would say the Retail-Price for this pedal corresponds very well to the potential of the unit. Speaking from my own experience, Radial could probably ask for an additional 100$ and i would still pay it. Overall: If there are any Buckethead fanatics such as myself out there, this will help you emulate his tremendous guitar tone. As was my title, Digital Distortion and OD are now a thing of the past after experiencing the clarity of a tube driven distortion. If i were to describe the tone in one word it would be: "ALIVE"!!! Thus, this pedal will give "life" to your tone. This pedal will allow your guitar to sing! If you are reading these reviews like i was a couple weeks ago wondering if you should make the investment, let me save you the time and say "YES THIS IS IT!"

Great pedal and great sounds but bad footswitches. Have had to replace both switches at a cost of $80.00 ( for labour) and now another footswitch is acting up. I would have thougt that if Radial was aware of defective footswitches they would have repaired for free. Considering the cost of this pedal to me that is unacceptable.

I've owned this one for 7yrs now. Extremely sensitive controls that can really dial in your tone with all different setups. Both gains work well together but are unique sounding enough. Having the active tones and a filter really allow you to tweak your tone to your amp. So many tonal options for you with this pedal and it sounds real with rich harmonics with the tube. There was a batch of pedals that had some bad switches, my first one was in this group, but radial was awesome to deal with. I love it and now I'm using two now on different boards.

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty.

Warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?

Performance Guarantee - normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage.

Product Replacement - if your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.

No Lemon Policy - your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.

Convenient - easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.

Guitar Setup - Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.

Loaners Available - a loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.

Power Surge Protection - your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.

Accessory Coverage - any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.

Commercial Use Coverage - music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty.Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, woodwind pads, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Accidental or cosmetic damage is not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

NEW products: 4% of selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.

USED products: 4% of selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year. Pricing for used electronic products is 4% of the original new selling price.

GUITARS: 4% of selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.

BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: $40 up to $2,000 selling price. BRASS and STRINGS: 2% of the selling price after $2,000. WOODWINDS: 4% of the selling price after $2,000.

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
