I bought this and returned it the day I received it. It will work if you have only a thinly padded gig bag. If you have a decent gig bag, it is almost impossible to close the shell. I was not going to rip out the foam to make it fit.
Also, the new "improved" TSA latch looks very flimsy. It might hold under normal use but it just has to annoy one inspector and he/she gleefully break it with ease.
