This game claims to teach guitar, it does as a matter of fact but it tends to give the impression that you will learn how to play full songs. This game teaches techniques, chords, and the basics of guitar. The songs are more so like picking and chord practice it seems. The mini games are great to help improve your skill. The chord book isn't too well organized but still comes in handy. Overall, this game teaches beginners and amateurs how to play guitar and with skill.

Excellent game that teaches guitar. Makes the learning process more enjoyable than playing to sheet music or tab. Gives a learner a real sense of accomplishment. Constantly adjusts the difficulty to push you to learn more. Well worth the money.

The only downside is that you need to play it to unlock the games, but they make practicing skill more fun. In addition you can plug your guitar into your computer and record what you play. (This works with all versions.)
