MG100HCFX - 100 Watt Head with Effects
 Ce produit n'est plus disponible.
The Marshall MG100HCFX guitar amplifier head gives you four storable channels of fantastic Marshall tone and plenty of power for the stage! The 100-watt MG100HCFX head includes four switchable channels and a 3-band EQ. It also features a 2-button footswitch, power-amp damping, a switchable effects loop, and a line-in for music players. This amp is excellent at emulating the response and sound of a tube amp, and it works great for your live and studio applications alike. Speaker-emulating headphone and line outputs are built right into the MG100HCFX head.

The MG100HCFX features a tried-and-true panel layout that's amazingly easy to use. Gain, 3-band EQ, volume, and master volume are laid out for quick access. Push-button channel switching allows for smooth, uninterrupted transitions. Combining true analog tone circuitry and Marshall's proprietary FDD (Frequency Dependent Damping) technology, these amps provide that authentic Marshall sound and feel. This damping technology emulates the dynamic interaction between an amp and its speaker, giving you feel and tone characteristics you'd normally only find in far more expensive tube amps. The combination line-out/headphone-out features speaker-cabinet emulation, giving you full Marshall sound when recording or practicing through headphones. A line input allows you to play along with MP3 and CD players.

Killer tones
You have a choice of four different channels in the Marshall MG100HCFX. You can choose from clean, crunch, OD1, and the high-gain OD2. These four programmable channels give you a huge tonal range, from pretty and clean to mean and scream. Mix them with the speaker-damping function and digital effects to create the killer tone rigs you have always wanted. The new silver faceplate and carbon-fiber-looking vinyl give the MG100HCFX a definite rock 'n roll attitude.

Take advantage of incredible effects
This amp includes great-sounding reverb and digital effects (chorus, phaser, flanger, delay, octave+, and reverse delay). In fact, you can use up to three effects simultaneously. The delay time can be manually set using the front panel Tap button. Settings for each channel can be customized and saved for instant recall. In addition, the MG100HCFX feature a switchable effects loop for adding a favorite external effect to the sound. This model also includes a 2-button footswitch as standard equipment.

From the music store to stages everywhere
Jim Marshall didn't start out building great amps. In fact, his entry into the amp world came about in part because the drummers that visited his music shop for equipment and lessons often brought along their guitar players. Conversations about their amplification needs led to the birth of a line of amps that would eventually change the sound of music. From those first humble creations to Pete Townshend's first monster full stacks, from the mid-'60s combos to Hendrix to backlines of multiple Marshall rigs, one thing has remained constant: Marshall's commitment to the best tone and performance possible.

I bought one of these amps and sold it again within a few months. I have 5 guitars and regardless of which guitar i plugged into it with, it all sounded the same. The distortion is weak at best and the effects are also weak. Don't think that you can boost the distortion with a stopm pedal either, cause that is too much for this amp to handle. In short...a complete waste of money.

...it's true... I needed a head quick when I started a band recently. I had been using smaller amps/heads since I haven't been in bands in years. When i checked this one out I didn't think much. I was being a price snob and thought for $500.00 what am I going to get? Well, if you look on youtube and listen to what Zakk Wylde has to say: paraphrased ("if it's a Marshall, it'll sound good") So without even trying it, I ordered it and hoped for the best. Zakk was right. While this doesn't even come close to a JCM or any other tube Marshall, it does an incredible job of holding it's own. I love both clean and dirty channels. If you are looking for high gain, look elsewhere. This is a rock head through and through and is best suited for that style. If you want chugging metal, try something else. The built in digital effects are good but not great. I have always been a stomp box guy when it comes to effects like delay, reverb etc. I really like to dial in the sounds. The range on the knob is minimal. You go from slight effects then a small move of the knob and all of a sudden you are at the other end of the spectrum with the effect. Tough to dial in anything in between especially when 1 knob is for all the effects. Sound was a little cold (as solid states are) when I first got it but after about 10 or so hours of playing it really warmed up and honestly, has continued to get warmer in the 6 months i've owned this. It's been gig tested and never had an issue.

I'm really happy with it (using 4 x 12 cab with this head). I get great sound from clean to metal. Even run my acoustic electrics through it for a few tunes and am impressed. on board effects quite nice, but I use my pedal system as well when I want other things. The Marshall distortion sounds can't be beat. They are better than my pedal can provide and use these sounds for rock and lead solos. Great lead sounds. Now, yes valves are better, and I love Marshall, and have had them all my life but I don't have thousands to spend. However, I'm not playing huge arenas and when I needed a new amp, this amp costs less and weighs less. Plus- Marshall fans know that the things are alive. They Have Moods. Somedays they just are a little ...different. My bandmates have lots of fun figuring out the" whys" on certain days or finding the sweet spot volume for optimal sound. This thing is predictable. Unless over time the low price shows up in maintainence trouble, I'm very pleased.

I own this head and the matching 4x12 cab. I really want to give this amp head a good review but it just didn't cut it for me. It is a decent value and sounds pretty decent as well. Has some nice effects that sound ok and you can get a nice range of sounds out of it. Just not a quality piece at all. I only had it a short time and haven't really used it very much at all. The input jack came a little loose and would cut in and out a little. Then one day you could barely hear any sound at all coming out of it and the amp itself would cut in and out (not the input jack). I took it in for service and the repair guy that checked it over found several issues. Input jack came unsoldered from the board, wires to the power supply needed resoldering and SEVERAL cold solder issues on the circuit board needed repair. One of the worst boards he has ever worked on. Made him wonder how it ever passed quality control. Managed to get everything repaired though. Maybe I just got a bad one, but regardless it's very disappointing that an amp with so little use have such issues. Especially since it's always been looked after and never abused. So, I guess to sum things up. It's a very cheaply made amp that sounds pretty good, looks pretty good, has some nice features, and wont break the bank. However, I'll never buy another one.

I've owned this head-along with the matching cab and foot switch-for about a month now after looking at it for a few months. If you're looking into purchasing yourself a nice little half-stack, I would recommend getting a Marshall 1960A Lead cab rather than the matching cab.. although the matching cab still does it's job* Some reviews of this amp were helpful but most of the reviews came from people who actually never tried the head or were tube amp snobs just putting down ANY solid-state amp (not all tube lovers are snobs though). What I like about this amp is that you have 4 channels; Clean, Crunch, OverDrive 1 and OverDrive 2. The clean channel isn't my preferred clean sound, but that can easily be messed around with to get a decent sound with the internal FX. Same goes with the Crunch channel. Now what I really enjoy about this amp is the two OD channels. The OD2 is a little buzzy when you are not playing your guitar but you can easily turn your volume down on your guitar when in between songs or little breaks. *The buzzing does not affect sound when playing your guitar*. OD2 is also good for getting heavier sounds like playing metal or just harder rock songs. OD1 on the other hand is only slightly buzzy but is a good channel if you just want a nice distortion but nothing too heavy. This head also has a Dampening button to make it sounds almost Tube-like. You can also get some nice FX and this amp head comes with a Store button so you can store your levels (including FX and Dampening). All in all, I really enjoy this amp. I'm still just discovering the different sounds I can get out of it. Nice and loud too.

I got this amp for Fathers Day last year great amp for the money. I use the matching slant cab and I like to turn it up and it sounds great. I don't however use the on-board effects, even though there's a lot you could do with four channels I just use it for power and some EQ-ing with the 3 band EQ. I use external effects but I still love the amp. I would recommend this amp for a low amount of money.

I had been looking at this head for about a year now, Zakk Wylde uses it, so when I tried it out with a Marshall 1960a cab... I was amazed that the sound came from that Marshall head at that price! No tubes... but a Power Amp Damping Switch which makes it sound like a tube amp... and does it ever. I love the sound. I have an MG412ACF 300w slanted cab AND I'm waiting o the MG412BCF 300w straight cab to complete the "Full Stack". I can't wait to crank it. I just love the Carbon Fiber look man, it looks amazing. So... for A Marshall 100w head, a 300w slanted cab and a 300w straight cab, you have a Full Marshall Stack for less than $1200. Man... you can't go wrong with that. And take it from me, this setup IS stage ready. And great for studio. Oh yah I almost forgot, If you're not setup like me... with a BOSS GT-100 multi-effect... no worries, this head is loaded with effects. It's all there man. So I recommend the MG100HCFX head to all my brother jammers out there, if the budget is tight, you don't need to compromise quality. Cause there's lots of quality from the MG100HCFX. Thanks to Rylan & staff at L&M Edmonton downtown for all their help. You guys ROCK man!!!

My first Marshall was a tube amp purchased in the early 70s. This amp can reproduce the feel and sound fairly well. I've used just about everything on the market over the years including a great many amp simulators. None of them come even close to the sheer joy I feel and the sensitivity to my emotions that can be expressed by my Marshall pumping through 4 Celestions. Love it; don't know why I ever left it behind. It's not identical to a tube amp; but you also don't need to warm it up, deal with tube failures etcetera. Adding a Xoom preamp which contains the same pre-amp tubes brings it pretty darned close though. The only reason that I scored it down slightly on Features is the extremely lame built in effects. Simple answer, don't use 'em, If you want effects build a pedal-board/look At Xoom/best of all - get an M-box and install pro-tools! The effects loop is there and works perfectly. I LOVE this amp and at this price you won't even come close. It's worth every penny and then some. If you can't scrape up the coin finance one or, better yet, find a good corner and put you case out in front of you and play until you can pay! Buy it; you'll never, ever regret it!

I use this head at charts rehearsal studios and its a powerful little amp. I've used it through a Marshall, line 6, mesa boogie, and Behringer cabs and they all sound amazing (probably best through a mesa boogie). If you don't have alot of money to spend this is a pretty good amp.

This amp head is a great one if you are short on budget or starting to play live. I tried this once when I came to my friends house and this sounds great. I recommend this one, but if you like more on heavy sounds, try the vintage modern amplifiers, they're best for me when in terms of marshall amp.

Performance Warranty Banner
