Mineral Fiber Insulation is the workhorse of Auralex's isolation materials. Mineral Fiber panels provide acoustic isolation as well as temperature insulation. It offers excellent acoustic performance with an NRC of 1.05. The thermal performance has an R-Value of 4.20 (per inch of thickness). Auralex Mineral Fiber has a nominal density of 8 pounds per cubic foot (PCF). When compared to most standard thermal fiberglass insulation it is far superior for reducing sound transmission.
