POLAR 10 consists of a subwoofer and two columnar elements. The elegant contours of the subwoofers birch ply housing are not just cosmetic; the enclosure is acoustically shaped and sized to deliver excellent audio results in combination with a specially developed 10" woofer sporting an extra-long voice coil. Driven by a muscular 2,000-watt power amplifier, this combination delivers rich, low-ranging bass response that packs an impressive punch even at high volumes.
The midrange/HF column comes in two sections for easy transport. The top section is loaded with six high-performance 3 midrange drivers and a low-distortion, 1 constant directivity horn. The system delivers well-balanced, exceedingly natural sound, rendering everything from low-mid frequencies all the way up to 20 kHz with remarkable authority. Tuned to project an expansive 120 throw pattern and engineered to impede feedback, it gives users freedom choice when it comes to positioning the PA in venues. Placed behind the speaker or performer, it can also serve as a stage monitor to take the place of wedges in many scenarios.
The newly developed E.A.S. connect system links the three components. Simple, safe and sturdy, this smart set of couplers requires no cables. Setting POLAR 10 on a raised stage is not a problem; it can still be aimed at the correct height by simply leaving the column's bottom section - which is a spacer - out of the stack.
The four-channel mixer offers two mic/line channels, one instrument channel for an acoustic guitar or similar, and one aux channel for music players. POLAR 10 can also render audio streams wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.0, which has four times the range of Bluetooth 4.0. The mixer's settings may be stored in five presets, to be accessed later as the situation requires.
POLAR 10's stylish visuals are no coincidence. Its designers shaped the column's elegant looks for it to fit right in at even the most upmarket gala event. The system also comes complete with a padded gig bag for the columnar elements and a padded cover to protect the subwoofer in transit.

Great value, plenty of features, decent enough sound 1 of 1 customers found this review helpful
Of course due to the design that sacrifice in certain frequency ranges was to be expected, and overall it's build quality, features (built in DSP, Bluetooth, excellent I/O) and it's convenience/ease of transportation/setup are all more than enough to make up for that small caveat.
I own two and use them in stereo as the mains for my home system as well as hauling them around for the odd house party or small event around town. (which is extremely convenient due to their size and weight). Obviously there are still better sounding solutions out there and by nature traditional cabs will always outperform column speakers in overall range but the combination of good value, robust quality and thoughtful design features make these worth it for me.
It should however be noted than when I purchased my pair back in 2021 they were on sale for $800 a piece compared to current price of $1099 so I got quite a bit more "value" out of them but I honestly still think they're worth the current price, especially with everything else rising as well.

Great sound, lots of power. 0 of 1 customers found this review helpful
Mixer is intuitive enough, very rudimentary. I figured it all out in about 5 minutes before checking the manual. I guess if it had onboard effects and channel mutes it wouldn’t come at this price point, so I’m giving a 3.5 for features, but a 5 for value.
Will be running my little soundcraft mixer so that solves all that anyway.
The entire rig weighs less than 60lb. I’ve hiked heavier combo amps up two flights. It does have a fairly big footprint, but will fit in the backseat of pretty much any 4 door.
Very happy with my purchase.

A beast that blasts 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful
At this price - and on sale on top of that - I really wanted to love and keep this unit. I'm using it for small to medium outdoor shows where I'm a one-man band. This means I have to carry guitars, pedalboard and the PA. I'm looking for the most power I can find in a package light enough for me to carry. The sub alone is nearly 60 lbs. After bringing this into my home and down some stairs one time I realized this isn't something I want to be doing dozens of times this summer.
If only they made exactly this but 20% less tall and less heavy, I'd be sold. Heck - I'd even take 20% less powerful in the trade and it'd be well worth the money at the current price.
It's heavier and larger than any line array I've used (Bose l1 compact and l1Pro8, EXM Mobile, HK Lucan Nano).
That said - this sounds great and has a ton of bass. More than I remember the L1Pro8 having from renting it last summer. It's also MUCH more stable than the new Bose units and comes with cases. The bluetooth is a great addition and super handy for playing music between sets. There's not much in the way of EQ and no effects, but I have vocal effects and guitar effects before I ever send those into the unit anyways, so no big deal for me.
I will say the "big beefy batmobile" aesthetic isn't for me either, but that's just a matter of taste. The design is great and I'm sure many people will love it. I don't think you can find a better system for the money - just don't forget to factor in a gym membership.

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty
A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.
Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.
How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
- Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
- Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
- No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
- Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
- Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
- Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
- Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
- Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
- Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.
Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.
Purchasing additional years of coverage
Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:
- NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
- USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
- GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
- BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
