I bought this guitar in 2013 - I've had Gibson 6 Str, Yamaha 6 str, Fender 12 & 6 str, Tackamine 6 str, Alvarez (12 str) Gretsch 12 str (still have it) This little Martin is the best of all sound, handling and looks - I won't be trading this one

Never thought I would play guitar again after my right hand was crushed between two rollers at work. Extensive surgery followed including the amputation of my ring finger, plus months and months of therapy. But after two years my wife convinced me to try again. Only problem was, I had given my old acoustic away. I was reluctant to try again, as I now possess a claw instead of a flexible hand, but the thumb was spared, so we went to a music store where I was like a kid in a candy store, and looked at cheaper models, but she came across the Martin and convinced me that this was the one. I ran my fingers across the strings and just knew, this was the one. So I left the shop with it and am picking up the threads again, my pinkie now doing the work the ring finger did, learning Classical Gas is so hard! A great guitar which I will never part with, its tone filling me with light.

As an artist, I have been through plenty of guitars. This martin has a pickup with tones that of a guitar 5x its cost, and the same goes for when its unplugged. Action is smooth and buttery...this guitar will not be getting replaced. Had it for 3 years now, and LOVE IT more every day.

I was in the market for a new acoustic guitar for over 5 years and I wasn't in any rush to purchase one. I have played many acoustics from Yamaha, Fender, Epiphone, Takamine, Gibson, Martin, and Taylor, but the biggest issue for me, was price. I wasn't in the position to spend $1500+ on a new guitar, so this limited me to some of the lower end products from some of the higher quality brands. From the minute I picked up this Martin, however, I knew that it was going to be the one that came home with me. The way that it sounded was enough for me to walk out of the store without even playing it. When I sat down to play it, it was like playing with butter. This guitar is very easy to play, and it sounds brilliant. It is now my primary guitar for recording, writing, and performing. I have had long-time guitar players ask me how much I paid for this guitar and they are astounded that it's not the top-of-the-line Martin's.

I play in the bars and wanted a guitar i could use without worrying about it getting scratched or stolen. not a bad guitar for the price. I had to bring it in 3 times to get rid of a pinging noise while tuning certain strings. they cant seem to fix the problem.

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty.

Warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?

Performance Guarantee - normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage.

Product Replacement - if your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.

No Lemon Policy - your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.

Convenient - easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.

Guitar Setup - Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.

Loaners Available - a loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.

Power Surge Protection - your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.

Accessory Coverage - any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.

Commercial Use Coverage - music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty.Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, woodwind pads, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Accidental or cosmetic damage is not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

-----

Purchasing additional years of coverage

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

NEW products: 4% of selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.

USED products: 4% of selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year. Pricing for used electronic products is 4% of the original new selling price.

GUITARS: 4% of selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.

BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: $40 up to $2,000 selling price. BRASS and STRINGS: 2% of the selling price after $2,000. WOODWINDS: 4% of the selling price after $2,000.

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
