Just installed a new set of Evans G2 coated heads on my Ludwig Concert toms. The drums are very loud, and with the double ply coated heads they were still too loud for practice in house. I then bought the Evans E Rings for all the toms and wow, what a difference. It lowered the high volume, but also took away some of that high pitch resonance and made the drums sound so much better - it was amazing! My Ludwig's now sound better than they have in years.
