Les Paul Junior - Cherry Sunburst

The Les Paul Junior is loved for its lighter weight, commanding sound, and all-Mahogany body. Today, the Epiphone Les Paul Junior is still the best way for beginners to get started on a full-size guitar with real vintage Les Paul tone.

Classic Design, Superior Value
The Les Paul Jr.'s legendary rock and roll tone comes from an all-Mahogany body tooled to the trademark Les Paul shape. And just like vintage models, the Epiphone Les Paul Junior features an all-Mahogany neck with a 1960's SlimTaper profile. The neck is bolted-on for a long-lasting fit and features a 12" radius Rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays and a classic-sized 1.68" nut.

Legendary Les Paul Power
The Les Paul Junior is voiced by a powerful, noise-free, open-coil Epiphone 700T humbucker pickup in the bridge position, which gives the Les Paul Junior that big, unmistakable Les Paul sound that can go from subtle color shades to crunch at your command. There really isn't any classic rock and roll sound you can't get with an Epiphone 700T humbucker. Like all Epiphone electric instruments, the Les Paul Junior comes standard-equipped with long lasting and low noise 500K O sealed potentiometers for the Master Volume and Master Tone controls.

Epiphone Hardware
The Epiphone Les Paul Junior features all-metal hardware that can last for the life of the guitar. Just like the Kalamazoo-made originals, the Epiphone Les Paul Junior features a combination wrap-around StopBar bridge and tailpiece with compensated saddles and adjustment screws to allow for accurate intonation. And, the Les Paul Junior also comes with Epiphone's heavy-duty non-rotating output jack for years of reliable performance. The Epiphone Les Paul Junior is available in Alpine White, Cherry, Ebony, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Translucent Blue and Vintage Sunburst color finishes.

I got this guitar a few months ago. It's impressive considering it's low price. I was recommended this guitar by my friend, who has been playing for 8 years. This is my first guitar, and everything is awesome! I got the Translucent Blue finish, and it looks absolutely stunning. With the right amp, you can get a rockin' punch sound, or a clean softer tone. It has a nice smooth neck, and no sharp frets. It's also very comfortable to hold, and very light. The only problems with it are the G string. It buzzes a bit, but it's a great thing to learn on if you can overcome it. I recommend this to any beginner looking for something to learn on, also on a budget. I'll outgrow this guitar eventually in skill, but for now, it's the best thing ever.

The quality of this guitar is not bad, but by no means even close to a 10. The one machine head on mine seems to be not threaded properly. With the string off, it wiggles quite a lot. The other 5 machine heads are just fine. Despite the problem with that one tuner, it doesn't go badly out of tune. The stock strings, I didn't like much at all. I am just a beginner so this guitar is more than enough for me to learn with. It sounds good enough to me after I put on EB Cobalt Slinky strings, and if I completely bust it somehow, I won't be out a lot of money. So you can't beat the value. When I've gotten more experienced I'll pick up something a bit more expensive of better quality. Of course it's only a single pickup so it isn't chocked full of features, hence the low score there. For someone just starting out, overall this is a great guitar. When I outgrow this guitar, I will probably keep it around for my kids to learn on. They've already asked about inheriting it and my oldest is only 4!!

I got this guitar when I was ten. It was my first guitar, and although mine is beaten to shit (The pickup is cracked and is duct taped together) it still sounds pretty good! The 700t humbucker gives you a solid, growling tone that sounds snarly at high tone, and soft at a low tone. I dont have the sunburst one, mine is in ebony. either way this guitar is great ESPECIALLY considering the price. I also own an epiphone les paul, but I still lov to jam on this. It sounds good for everything from blues to punk! Love it! I play it through a Marshall MG50FX and it sounds pretty f'n great!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
