It's only the low strings, regular highs. I like the feel of these gauges for easier bends on the highs & snappier but longer lows. The lows a MUCH more powerful with these. I suggest lower gauges as your PUs heights &/or EQs will have more effect with these. You may have too much to work with, depending on style. But if you want more, these give it with easier to bend for size playability. They really do feel like a half step down from where they are set. It's more for less effort, but more $ and maybe increased fret wear.

I recently picked up a set of “super” 9,11,16,24,32,42 I honestly am shocked!! The way they feel and bend! They’d made my cheap Epiphone feel and sound more twangy like a gibson. High notes ring out clear and lows growl like they should! I’ll be buying another set. Thanks for reading,

The strings create amazing tone. Some say it's the best tone. Totally. You can ask anyone. They'll tell you: These strings are huge. Very huge. It's true. No one else makes strings that sound this good and last this long. Tremendous improvement in tone. Tremendous. These strings are loud, and they drive the preamp on your amp really well. Believe me. They're the best.

Have had no issues with breaking strings on any of the guitars. Love the feel, which is very different from other electric strings, being almost silky feeling. Tone and output are good, Have been using them on active pickup (EMG) guitar, a decent tele, and my JT Variax with both magnetic and piezo pickups (my main guitar for public use). More money than other options, but very happy with them.

These strings seem to be best for heavier sounds. They crunch like nothing else and while they are bright, they also have enhanced low end too and the tone is well suited for heavy gain. I recently changed my strings and only had a pack of regular EB slinkys (I used regular slinkys for years) and I really missed the enhance performance of the cobalt's. I will definitely be restringing with cobalt's.

I really like these strings!!! You can feel the mojo even with guitar unplugged. Very clear, resonant and dynamic! No problem with the rust, like some people mentioned before. They last a long time. I compared these with d’addario nyxl and I like EB cobalts a lot better. I hope they won’t be discontinued.

A buddy of mine mentioned, on one of my Instagram posts, that he noticed I use Super Slinky's and suggested I try the Cobalt"s out. Picked up a couple of sets today for my Strat and Tele to start and I have to say, 100% difference in these strings! Wow, I have so much to say...first they have a very different feel to them, tactile that is, very smooth and silky compared to regular. They seem to play in much faster than regular as well, so new sets are going to stay in tune faster. They seem to have more sustain even before plugging in and moving up and down the strings, you'll notice right away the feel of the strings of different gauges is very similar, again tactile feel, making it feel much easier to move up and down the fret board. You have to experience these to fully understand what I mean. After plugging in, you'll find they are much punchier and indeed the sustain is more noticeable, as well as the output. They kick very different. A noticeable increase in output, I would say surprisingly so. Yes they are a little more expensive than regular slinky's but all in all so far its worth the extra cash and from what I also hear they last longer and stay cleaner longer. I'll find out about that as I play these in, but so far, thumbs up on getting these on all my guitars. Great product! Highly recommend you try them out..

I have these strings installed on a 2007 Paul Stanley guitar. which is just a cheap Lyon by Washburn. I love the sound it makes now . I have other great guitars but this guitar is fast and now sounds just amazing. So I now play this cheapie guitar more often with these strings .Its just amazes me what a good pair of strings can do. I will try a set on my other guitars and see how they may sound.

I gave them a try and did not care fore them. They sounded great, but had a coarse gritty feel to them that I didn't like. I went back to the the Ernie Ball Extra Slinky as I always do;) It's a matter of personal taste, there a high quality string.

So I thought I would try these strings because I read some reviews on them and people seemed pretty satisfied. So my first thoughts on them was that they were really clear, more brighter than usual, and were even a little bit louder. But then after only a month and a half (and mind you I only play about an hour or even less a day) I noticed that they started to rust. And there are a LOT cheaper strings out there that don't rust and I bet are just as good. I however don't like to change my strings too often. But if you buy a bunch of these at once and you like the sound and you prefer to change your strings often, then these are for you.

They are bright. Some say too bright but on my guitar they sound great. Not as bright as Maxima Golds but you can't find them anywhere anymore. I find they last well, have higher output than regular strings, stay in tune.. What you want in a set of guitar strings. I have to wonder about the person who said they rust. Maybe they are in a high humidity environment or something. My guitar usually sits out on a stand and I have never had any rust on any strings let alone these. In a week? Wow... I change strings about once a week depending on playing time.. If I don't play much a set may stay on for a month, never any rust.

Had a set on my guitar previously. Found them to have a nice smooth tone, very clear. Replaced them with another brand(they did not even compare with the feel and tone of the cobalts). Rippied them off my guitar and got another set of ernie cobalts. Love 'em.

I have a 60's tribute Les Paul. I swapped my regular nickel strings out for a set of these, hoping to enhance the tone. What I found was that it made the guitar incredibly bright and I honestly hated the sound. If you have a guitar that sounds really dark, definitely give these a shot. Otherwise I would just avoid them.

I picked these up for my guitar but was a little skeptical. I had always used ernie ball strings but I'd never tried these before. I was impressed at how incredibly high output these were: resonating more than one would expect from the average set of 11s, and having none of the thickness and problems bending. also they really never get dirty. If you're playing lead and want that high-output sound for your guitar, this is the way to go.

I really like the strings because they have a high output perfect for hard rock/heavy metal but not for classic rock and blues. The thing that I don't like about the strings is that it is very easy to get rusty. I put them in my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro then after a week it will get rusty -_-

I'm a pro guitarist, and have a problem with strings going dead very quickly. I usually have to change strings every 1 - 3 shows depending on the length of show. I am getting 15+ shows on a set of Cobalts. They stay in tune, and they stay "alive"! I won't use anything else on my electric anymore!

I had heard so many unbelievable things about these strings, and to be honest I believed none of them at first; there was just no way strings could do so much. I needed to restring my guitar and so I thought "well, let me try the Cobalt Slinkys, see what the heck people are going on about". Well people... believe all the amazing things you hear about these. I already thought my guitar sounded good, but now I find it difficult to let it go! Just by putting on these strings, my guitar became brighter and more responsive, snappier, clearer, twangier, even (Tele clone, you know) and my sustain improved greatly. Where can I buy a case?

Just got these strings put on my SG. I was very skeptical. I'm amazed!!! They're everything they've been advertised to do. Big thick tone with the best response and sound I've ever gotten from my pickups!! I would seuggest these to anyone!!! Try em' out, I garantee you won't be dissapointed.
