I've had this guitar for about a year now and it impresses me more and more everyday! Feels great and is a joy to play. The sound is amazing through my Marshall and my HK amp. The single coil buzz is a little more than I expected, but otherwise no complaints about this well crafted, well made, all Canadian guitar.

Bought this guitar a few weeks ago and own a Gibson Lp Standard and Es335. I had Strats in the past and Godin Progression and Icon 2 Converatable, and Musicman Masjesty a while back. I play through a Headrush Pedal and Line 6 Powercab. This guitar sounds awesome through any amp and is absolutely the best single coil guitar under $1700. At $499 it's a steal. Thanks Steve!

I have owned this for a year now and it's been a great guitar and well worth the money x2. I was going to buy a more expensive strat when I found this on the wall and the sound was just better. The neck was also better (than the american strat for $1300). The pickups are really, really, good. You can split the Humbucker for a pure strat setup if you want to. It just plays so nicely I never stop appreciating it. Also comes with a very good gig bag, maybe the best one I've seen.

I was looking for a rock guitar on a budget and happened to pick one of these up and boy it just fit right, very comfortable to hold and play. Then I plugged it in and I was hooked! Not only is it capable of being a rock machine it also can be as mellow as you would like. Very versatile guitar and for the the price I agree why spend more! This guitar is suitable for all levels of players! You will definitely not be disappointed. Also come with a nice little gig bag.

I was originally looking at Stratocasters and was going to buy an American one, but then I saw this guitar and played it. I was immediately impressed. It has all the features the American Strat had for a price even lower than the Mexican made ones! Best part is its made in Canada! Came with a really nice gig bag too. Honestly can't beat any guitar in this price range. Absolutely worth it and am happy to own it!

This is like an American fat Strat at a price less than a Mexican. The stock pickups are extremely good (made by Seymour Duncan). It would be nice to have 2 tone knobs like the Fender but hey, at that price, you can't complain. Incredible build quality, assembled in USA from parts made in North America. Beats the Chinese and Indonesian guitars any time. I already have a Session Custom '59 and this is my next axe.

First of all the pickups on this guitar are incredible and work extremely well with the tone this guitar produces. The humbucker is sharp and has lots of presence, single coils are strat quality and then some. This guitar is basically two guitars in one, crunch of a les paul and some sweet stratocaster tones can be had out of this axe and the neck feels us about perfect. For the price this guitar is a very good deal and being Canadian is unbelievable! Play one of these and then play a strat or les paul and then realize you can get three of these for the price of one of the others...I don't think any guitar can beat this at even twice the price. The build quality is top notch and is a very strong guitar, I do not think anyone can give this guitar anything less than a five star rating...this is a serious guitar!

Bought the limited production run Transparent Red. ( colour no longer available ) but it's the same guitar as the other colours. Great guitar. Solid build. Straight out of the box, the set up was great. Nice action height. Intonation correct. ( had to replace the factory strings tho, but that's typical ) The 12" radius neck makes this a dream to play. It gives my $1400 Fender a run for its money. Had been debating whether to buy this or not, and had been trying it in stores for months. Knew I liked it, knew I wanted it. Finally got it, and I'm wondering why I waited so long. This is a solid guitar that is a bargain. Don't tell Godin, but this guitar should be double the price. ;)

This guitar is incredible I just received it two weeks ago.The playability and quality is fantastic. I would have to pay double the price to match the quality of this axe. I am proud to own this guitar and also is Canadian Made.

Bought this guitar one year ago and it has been fantastic. Build quality is outstanding and I can get great jazz, blues, and rock tones out of this and my tube amp (Traynor ycv40). The value was so good that I thought for a modest priced guitar the more expensive ones should be so much better (grass is greener on the other side, because I spent more money there!). I now have a LP Studio, a Fender Telecaster, and at Gretsch 5120. They are all wonderful guitars. They all have their own personalities but they don't beat the versatility and feel of the Godin. I take out all my guitars to play but my go to guitar is always the Godin. For the build quality, sound, and value don't hesitate to try one!

I had been looking for a strat for a very long time but could not find on within a reasonable price range that i actually liked the feel of. Someone turned me on to Godin Session guitars and i was hooked the first time i played it. I purchased one a few weeks later and i absolutely love it! It plays amazing and has great action and feels as solid as my Gibson guitars i have. Best guitar for the money on the market, hands down. It feels like a $1500 fender in my opinion. You will not be disappointed in this instrument ever!!!

This is an awesome guitar. To be able to purchase an affordable made in North America guitar is incredible. Especially with the quality and feel of this guitar. I played numerous guitars before I made this purchase and couldn't find anything in this price range that could compare. You'd have to spend double to get his kind of quality from a more known brand name guitar. But if you don't care whats on the headstock then save your money and buy this and keep your money in North America rather then buying a guitar made in an overseas shop.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
