The EVOLVE 30M is designed to deliver a significant step up in all-around performance for a column system in its size/price category. It includes an eight-channel digital mixer, studio-quality onboard effects, and remote control of all audio, effects and mix functions via the next-generation Electro-Voice QuickSmart Mobile application (available via the Apple Store and on Google Play).
The system includes a speaker array, a two-piece pole connector, an array and pole backpack carry case, and a powered subwoofer - all made to pack up and assemble quickly, look great on stage, and withstand real-world wear and tear.

All set the EVOLVE 30M apart from other systems at its price point. The full-range column array and its six lightweight 2.8" neodymium drivers provide ultra-wide 120⁰ coverage via proprietary waveguides; array-formed 40⁰ asymmetrical vertical coverage ensures acoustic output is directed towards both sitting and standing audience members. The array enclosure is constructed from a durable composite material and incorporates an ergonomic aluminum handle. It is acoustically optimized using four tuning ports hidden out of sight on the rear of the enclosure.
A 10" subwoofer is housed in a 15 mm wood enclosure with a high-efficiency laminar-flow vent design, for enhanced rigidity and acoustical performance. The array and sub are connected via a two-piece symmetrical aluminum pole with internal wiring and magnetically assisted latching. An advanced Class-D amplifier provides up to 1000 W of power: 500 W to the subwoofer and 500 W to the column array. The speakers are protected by a black powder-coated 18-gauge steel grille. Combined, these elements generate a genuinely impressive performance-to-size ratio in an elegant form factor that looks as good as it sounds.

QuickSmart DSP allows navigation of system parameters via an LCD with single-knob control, as well as multiple options for signal routing and inputs. Functions include four presets (Music, Live, Speech, Club), three-band system EQ (low, mid, high), seven-band graphic EQ (in Mixer mode), five user-programmable presets (Store and Recall settings), phantom power, visual monitoring of limiter status, input level control and meters, and a master volume control to optimize gain structure.
All of the above audio functions can also be controlled via the QuickSmart Mobile app - precisely adjust your system's sound from across the room, hearing what the audience hears. The fully configurable app has an intuitive, easy-to-read user interface and utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) technology for the adjustment and monitoring of all parameters of up to six EVOLVE 30M systems simultaneously. Answer: Yes, if you wanted to add more channels you could use a mixer no problem (out of mixer into ch 5/6)

Great sounding PA !
Love all the fx and controls that come with the EV App and can be adjusted via ipad or iphone.
Nice case that comes with the array speaker columns HOWEVER
**** I was disappointed that the subwoofer comes with no case.

The reason they call this the Evolve is because it has evolved further ahead of it’s competitors. The sound quality is on par, if not better than the Bose but what the Bose is missing is in the functionality. Having the 8 channel mixer built into the 30m is awesome and 4 of the channels are dual XLR/1/4” Unfortunately the Bose only comes with three inputs so for any gig requiring more than three inputs you will need an additional mixer. Plus the 30m comes with many more options like the hi-z input, main and aux out, which are fully adjustable separately, the DSP screen, the RCA inputs and the foot switch input. The QuickSmart app was super easy to connect to the 30m and I find much easier to work with compared to the Bose app. I won’t even compare the 30m to the HK Polar 10 as both the sound quality and functionality of the 30m is far superior to the Polar 10. Probably why it costs less because the 30m would be an upgrade from the Polar 10.
When comparing the build quality I also found the 30m is much better than it’s competitors. Having metal poles that connect using magnets makes it very sturdy and the pieces go together very well compared to the Bose which is very flimsy because it’s a mostly plastic line array. Bose is slightly lighter but at a cost of being less sturdy. The Polar 10 build quality is good but it is extremely bulky for a 10” woofer and feels like the sub cabinet and line array is twice the weight compared to 30m when carrying them.
The reason it only got a 4.5 in value is because it is the most expensive compared to the others although if you were to add the Tonematch mixer to the Bose it would be much more expensive. It would need it to be on par for functionality with the 30m.
Overall this unit is amazing and you will not be disappointed in its sound quality, functionality, and build quality compared to other line arrays.
I picked up a used one from the Edmonton South store shipped to Victoria store. The service was great from both stores and it arrived in a week. Another bonus is it’s available in white as well which is what I got. Some may not like the white but I feel it’s great that EV gave its consumers another option other than black.
All I can say is if you test this unit you will want one.

This system is absolutely the most amazing I've ever used.
It exceeded my expectations based on the product info I
read before purchase. So far used it on a couple of indoor
gigs and one outdoor. It's great in small to medium size venues 50-100 people indoors and the outdoor gig was a large patio, people commented that they could hear us even from behind. Maybe had it on 40% volume if that. The vocals are incredibly crisp, run 2 mics 1 el. guitar +a drum machine on it. We are a 2 man band the bass player uses his own amp. There is no hum at all at any volume.
The mixer on the phone is an added plus.
I highly recommend this system. You get what you pay for.

Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.
Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.
How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
- Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
- Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
- No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
- Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
- Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
- Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
- Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
- Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.
Purchasing additional years of coverage
Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:
- NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
- USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
- GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
- BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
