I was very surprised this guitar is great for the price the pick ups are great sounding very nice tone.Again great for the price cant beat it.

Just picked up one these bolt on LP Special Limiteds, who cares if its bolt on, my high price Fenders are bolt on too. This guitar is a fantastic value, nice neck, not quite Gibson chunky but still very nice in your hand. These P90's are a real surprise, clean and crisp and crunch up as you turn up the volume! Out of the box, a few minor personal preference tweaks to the neck and bridge, a little lemon oil on the fretboard and that's it, sounds great through my JCM800 and my Vox. This will make a fantastic live guitar. Leave the collectables at home. Only thing I may do is upgrade to the white button Gibson tuners and change the nut to a Graph Tech. Not many left, grab one while you can!

Pros: Plays great, sounds above it's price range Cons: initial fit and finish reflects the price tag. Gloss finish on neck..would prefer satin. Quality of components also reflect the price tag. Overall: You get an easy playing , great sounding guitar for a low price after a good setup.

I went to L&M looking to play some of the new 2020 stuff. Saw this thing (Didn't notice the different head stock) and thought "wow, this Gibson series is pretty awesome" then I looked at the price and was like "wait...what?" Then saw the head stock and said "This is the Limited model! for $300?!" I was honestly stunned for the price and feel of this Epiphone. I have played many guitars, and this Epiphone blew me away for both sound and quality. Absolutely worth it. Note: I actually ended up playing the Gibson series version of this and actually found the neck too chunky and didn't like it as much!

I just picked this up at L&M vaudreuil, great service, and I got to say Wow! this exceeded my expectations. Overall great guitar, just the usual issues, a little fret sprout and in need of new strings and a good setup, but wow. I highly recommend getting your hands on one of these while they last.

For what is costs, it's a good rock and roll machine

Saw this in the Gibson Month Flyer, and for $299 decided to give it a try. First off, the listing has a few errors. The bridge is not the wrap around like the classic LS Special, it's a Les Paul style adjustable bridge, branded Epiphone, so I suspect same as Epi Les Pauls. The photo in the listing shows the correct bridge. The neck is indeed a bolt on, not a glued in-set. The profile feels slimmer to me than the Vintage 50's. I tried a new Epi LP Special (the $559 one) in a store, and that neck felt way fatter to me. I actually like this neck better. Playability is pretty good, although the fret ends need a file job, as they are pointy and sharp. Not a huge deal. The P90 pickups are why I decided to give this a try, and I have to say, they are really good. The seem to be the same pickups as in the more expensive one. The body on this, is a 3 piece (I think) with a veneer of some sort over top of it, but the veneer looks really good. I was actually fooled at first thinking it was all one piece. The colour actually looks closer to an original TV Yellow than the current re-issue of the Epi. All in all, for $300 bucks, it's a lot of fun to play, sounds killer and looks really good.

Cool little guitar that punches above its weight

I bought this on a whim because I wanted a guitar with P-90's and the price seemed too good to pass up, especially because it was specked almost the same as the set neck version....spoiler alert, the description is wrong :( but it's not all bad. For context I have been playing for 20 years and have a few high end and mid level guitars but I have a thing for finding really good cheap guitars to use as modding platforms and this is one of those. Let me start by saying this is actually a pretty good little guitar and IMHO plays just as well as any other high end Epiphone or Gibson and sounds way better than I expected. I would recommend this for a beginner or even a seasoned player who likes to tinker with their guitars. Let me run you through the pros and cons: Pros - The price, at $300 this is a huge bang for your buck. I'm not convinced it's made of solid mahogany and is most likely alder and maple like the lower tiered LP specials but its hard to tell with the TV yellow finish. - The finish is actually really well done with the perfect amount of transparency to be able to see the grain. It's a perfect TV yellow. - Frets are nice, not sharp. They are a little scratchy but I find that's the case on almost every Epiphone I have played, its an easy fix. - The neck is smooth, comfortable and fat. It feels substantial not like a toothpick. You can really play it hard and it holds tune fine. - The hardware is alright, looks like the same bridge you will find on most of the LP's and Dot's. The tuners are no name Chinese specials but they are smooth and seem to hold tune fine. - The playabilty is exceptionally good and holds its own with my Gibson's. - The BIG plus are the pickups, I was floored at how good this thing sounds. I was expecting ho-hum, flat and mudddy epiphone humbucker tone and was blown away. With a bit of overdrive this thing screams. The bridge is bright and punchy with a good amount of spank and the neck is raw, warm and fat with a surprising amount of high end still present. Clean, its all about the neck, it has a nice warm almost acoustic quality to it, just a really really nice sound. I probably won't swap these out. Now for the Cons: - The description is incorrect which was a let down a kind deceiving on L&M's part, especially since there is no info about this guitar out there (hence this way too long review) - The nut is not Graph Tech and most definitely plastic (although it is cut very well). - The electronics are not full sized CTS pots. They are Chinese no name mini pots. They seem ok and work fine (for now) but I'll be swapping them out asap and doing a series/parallel mod with a phase switch. Same with the jack. - This is a bolt on which I don't have an issue with (I'm a Fender guy and really don't buy into the whole set neck is better hype) but the pocket is pretty gappy. This doesn't affect sustain and tone like a lot of people will tell you it does but you do need to be more careful with it and watch for the neck shifting which I think is the bigger concern. I will fix this but it's annoying, especially when the rest of the guitar is pretty good. - Finally there was, what appeared to be, dried fret polish between the frets and the fret board, not a huge issue but again annoying and tedious to remove.
