I've used these JP Jazz Light strings for about 1 1/2 yrs now on my Godin 5th Ave Kingpin, (hollow body archtop, p90 pickup). I play mostly jazz tunes and mostly acoustically with it. I had D'Addario Chrome Flat wounds on it before that, which sounded very 'dead' to me, especially acoustically. I went looking for strings that would sound good plugged and unplugged and found very few that could do both well, until I found these JP2600's. The guitar came alive acoustically, and through my tube amp has beautiful warm mellow tones with crisp highs on the melody side, and clear bass, with good sustain. I've played them a lot and just changing now, so they last a long time. JP's are highly recommended by luthiers and pro 's in the know. Unfortunately usually are special order, but worth the wait.
