Very much the equal of any Gibson Les Paul I've ever played, this Epiphone Les Paul Custom is killer. Gorgeous looking, too, this guitar sounds as good as it looks. This is a riff machine. Crystal clear cleans, classic crunchy tones, this stellar instrument can do it all. Highly recommended.

I bought it and overall the QC was very nice, good frets with no nasty unfinished edges. The pickups sound as they should. The problem i am having is the tuners! They were advertised as Grovers and i got Wilkinsons on it. the Salesman said they are just as good.Well in my opinion they are not. Wilkinson set that are on the guitar are 38 dollars a set, where grovers are 90 dollars. The G and D will not stay in tune after 2 songs. Not a kid here, been playing for years. Been a loyal L+M customer for years and my wallet will tell you so. Oh look its now on sale for 999. Only unfortunate product i bought from L+M. Guitar is a fabulous looking piece of kit and well built but if it cant stay tuned where should i take it?

This guitar is exactly the one I would recommend to anyone who does a lot of studio recording or anyone who is looking for a jack-of-all-trades guitar. The amount of tonal versatility this thing is capable of makes it a must-have for anyone who plays a wide range of genres. The only things I didn't like were how heavy it was and how hard to reach the upper frets can be sometimes. Other than that, though, this was an absolute beauty of a guitar that plays just as beautifully as it looks!

I purchased this guitar used literally yesterday. I've owned and played many Les Paul's with the Gibson stamp on the top... And i must say that this Epiphone blows any gibson i ever picked up out of the water. Its feels nice, its easy to play, its not overly heavy (For a les paul), its pups are as full as you could ask a set of buckers to be. With a little bit of dirt and some compression this thing screams blues machine!
I have mine with the pickguard taken off to look similar to B.B. King's Lucille

I've owned my LP Custom a few months now and I'm really digging it. It's my fourth purchase from the new Inspired By Gibson line, and it's definitely the best looking one. But it plays great too, the Probuckers are really good pickups for just about any style.
I bought mine at a big music store chain here in America, and it needed a setup upon arrival, but that's normal for any new guitar.

Luckily, I got a good unit. No defect on the finish and assembly but the frets could be better. After a good setup, it sounds great and plays amazing.. not Gibson great but good enough for everything. Somewhere down the road, I will put Burstbucker Pros. But for now, Probucker 2 and 3 really hold its weight. Great value! Also, it looks amazing!

After playing this LP for a couple of months I can say it is an excellent LP. The finish is flawless and believe me, I've inspected the guitar from top to bottom. Not one flaw.
Surprisingly the pups are excellent! I lowered them both, especially the neck pup, and raised the poles for balance and they sound great. No need to replace imo. Hardware and switches seem solid and have held up well with normal use. Nice taper on the pots and very useful tone controls.
Highly recommended.

I initially debated between the standard 60s to the custom. The custom was cosmetically more appealing to me but the price was high. So I bought the standard and even though it has a great sound to it, it didn't flatter my tube amp for some reason and it didn't nail down the warm, good sustain tone I expected. I decided to return the standard and add a little more for a custom and it sounded very clean and nice with both pick ups or alone. The sound of the guitar is really good and works well with my multieffect too. The ebony fretboard is comfortable, I found the Laurel on the standard really sticky for my fingers but the ebony was just what I needed in addition to the pretty color of it. Even though it's not the cheapest epiphone out there it plays beautifully

I picked up my epiphone les Paul custom a couple weeks ago in Burlington , it is truly an amazing guitar , it sounds great and plays great. Personally the 60s style slim neck fits my hands amazingly. Everything is fine with the fit and finish with the exception of the output Jack being a little loose but other than that if you have the chance to own this guitar go for it , amazing quality for the price !

I bought mine from Long and Mcquade Moncton and i was blown away. At a fraction of the price of a Gibson Les Paul Custom, you can not go wrong with this guitar. Sounds amazing, quality is very good and it looks as beautiful as a Les Paul Custom should. Epiphone has really impressed me on this one and i do not regret it at all!!!!

To start off this thing is stunning. Great Grover tuners. Great locking bridge and saddle system, so they don't fall off and risk scratching the finish when re-stringing. the pickups are awesome and you can dial in your favourite artist's tones pretty easily if your amp can handle that. Everything feels quality, nothing feels cheesy or cheap. Great fretwork and the neck is super smooth. If Epiphone wasn't on the headstock, you'd think this was a Gibson by playing it.

Bought this guitar as an upgrade to my Squier Bullet Strat. I've been playing for five months now and have this guitar for a week. I must say it is extremely well made and the neck is perfect for a mixture of chords and soloing. The Humbuckers provide a great tone for all genres of music. If you are looking for an upgrade I would highly recommend this. Even if you just need something new, this is perfect, especially for the price.

Out of the box; the paint is perfect, tons of binding without any flaws, mirror-like finish, a small plastic film on pickups, and pickguards. Mine also included a loose truss rod to not stress it and a very basic adjustment. Let me be clear, it's brand new and it needs a setup to make it sings. Ebony fretboard, groover head, graph tech nut, and a full mahogany body. Spectacular value by itself. The pickups are decent, I was expecting worse to better describe it - it's maybe due to the nice body. The tail and bridge are also "ok", it's in my opinion the weakest component on the guitar or the one's I am most likely upgrade first. The new headstock and inlays are just beautiful for the 2020 edition, I am no fan of gold personally but it looks nice on white (i went white); easy enough to just swap them with a black colored piece to make a tuxedo look if you wish. Very satisfied all-in-all, sound and play amazing now with lots of potential for more. Setup (frets light leveling/crown/polish, truss rod relief, string action, pickup height) will wake that bird up with nice branded strings. Possible upgrades would be a tailpiece/bridge combo, pickups, or locking tuners.

I purchased this guitar from the web store. As soon as I opened the box, I could tell that the guitar had never been setup or properly tuned. Most notes above the 12th fret either buzzed or didn't sound due to being choked off by the fret. After the complimentary set up was performed, there were still a few notes above that 12th fret with buzzing. By this time I was really frustrated with the guitar, and so decided to return it. I decided that a Les Paul guitar is not for me - too heavy to play standing and the body is too small to play while sitting. Ah, well.....

I bought this guitar at Long Mcquade (toronto) in February. This guitar was not on the store's website and they brought this guitar to me. In addition to the beautiful building, the sound is wonderful, the pickups are wonderful. This guitar is an excellent purchase.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
