The quality was extremely disappointing. It had a decent amour of features, but I ended up returning it a few days after getting it.

If you've got an iphone or iPad, this is one of the least expensive interfaces. Analog connection still allows charging of device, if needed. Sounds great through Amplitube app, as well as other apps (no feedback, there is an in-app setting to prevent that). Software is often on sale for 50% off (well worth it). Plenty of functionality in Amplitube Free. Import songs to learn, slow down, and loop. Record your own backing track too.

Do not buy this. Save up some more money and get the iRigHD, iRigPRO or an Apogee Jam.
I bougt one on a whim last night at Chapters because I travel a lot and can't often use my amplitube DAW plugin that I like.
This device is terrible. It's so noisy that the amplitube mobile app comes with a noise filter stomp box to bandage the horrible noise this thing makes. If your guitar/bass has any pickup hum the noise is exponentially worse. Airplane mode doesn't help.
AVOID

Could not play through my iPhone/iPad without triggering crazy feedback. The only way I could use the iRig was through my Mac book which totally defeated the purpose. You also get a free version of the amplitube software through the app store which only gets you two pedal effects. All I can say about the iRig is "don't bother".
