As a career musician in recovery from a serious car accident, I became unable to sit at my drums for anything longer than 20 minutes before losing feeling in my lower back and thighs. After a few weeks of research I decided on the Spinal G. It’s a lifesaver for any drummer with back issues. The difference that it makes in my practice sessions as I work toward recovery is remarkable. I am also using it for mixing sessions and other computer related tasks because it doubles the amount of time I can stay seated without suffering for it. The spindle locking adjuster loosens pretty easily but it doesn’t affect the throne’s stability. otherwise I would have given it 5 stars across the board. It is extremely well made and the oversized split seat design is very comfortable even for us bigger boys.
