In a bold Fender first, the Tone Master Deluxe Reverb Blonde amplifier uses massive digital processing power to achieve a single remarkable sonic feat: faithfully modeling the circuitry and 22-watt power output of an original Deluxe tube amp. A high-performance 100-watt digital power amp is used to achieve the headroom and dynamic range of a real vintage Deluxe tube amp. The resonant pine cabinet is paired with a single Celestion® NEO Creamback speaker for a more distinctive rock 'n' roll flavor. The result is tubeless Deluxe Reverb tone, volume and dynamics virtually indistinguishable from the all-tube original. The amp model has been modified to remove the virtual bright cap on the Vibrato channel, which gives modern players greater tonal flexibility when using distortion and overdrive pedals. Additionally, the reverb control now provides easier fine tuning at lower settings. Perhaps most notably, even with all these features and more, the Tone Master Deluxe Reverb is in fact about only half the weight of an all-tube Deluxe.

The blonde vinyl covering elegantly evokes classic early-'60s Fender vibe, and front panel features give guitarists a playing experience identical to the tube version, including Fender's world-standard reverb and tremolo effects. Additional rear-panel features deliver modern convenience and flexibility?including an output power selector for full power and five attenuated settings, balanced XLR line output with impulse response (IR) cabinet simulations captured with Shure SM57 and Sennheiser MD421 microphones, mute switch for silent stage or recording use, USB port for firmware upgrades, and more.

By far the best amp I've owned (and I've owned quite a few). I use it as a bedroom amp and it absolutely has the power to be gigged with--seems to do it all!

I played one in Buffalo that was supplied in the backline and loved it.Then I used one in the studio the next day on half volume and still was happy.I ran out last week and bought one.I own an original 65 and don't think they are much different.I also own a 59 bassman and a Boogie Mark 1 from 1970.Fender pretty much nailed it this time..I hope it lasts a few years but i'm buying the extendid warrany when the 2 years are up just in case. The neo creamback sounds100% better then the Jensen.I even got the amp to feedback during a Santana and Hendrix tune.It responds great! .very happy and would recommend his to anyone especially Blues players..Don't be an amp snob try one.I play with a straight clean sound.I don't use many pedals.Sometimes a tube screamer for the odd tune and slide. This is NOT a ROCK amp.Its old school tones.Country-Jazz and Blues Roots Guys will Love it.Cheers

Just purchased a blonde deluxe from the Burlington store. Already played three gigs and am blown away. Looks like i'll be saying goodbye to my black face deluxe/ The sound is incredible for a wide range of muusic ( old country, blues and pop) and weighs half of what the old amp did. Whish they had this amp long ago, highly recomended.

Tubes No More! 12 of 13 customers found this review helpful

In recent years it has seemed to me that tubes have become increasingly, both expensive and unreliable. Now if only there were a solution that wouldn't sacrifice tone! NOS tubes are still a high priced option but quality may vary and there's still no guarantee of how long they'll last. I'd been interested in Fender's Tonemaster series for a few years now and tried out version 1 of the Deluxe Reverb about a year ago and much enjoyed it. When I read reviews and watched videos of the new Blonde version with the Celestian Creamback Neo, I had to try it out which led to having to have it. After horse trading for the better part of the day the deal was done. Overall the amp sounds great with either the single coil noiseless pickups on my Strat or with the humbuckers on my Les Paul. The attenuator works amazingly, and at home 0.2 or 0.5 watts is more than enough. The XLR output with onboard cab sims, and the output volume control send stunning sound to your PA, DAW, or computer. You even have the option to turn off the speaker for late night recording. It also takes pedals very well. I took my Mesa Boogie Throttlebox, Butler Tube Driver, and Snouse Black Box with me when I tried it out and they all worked well, and without issue. I find that using an MXR Carbon Copy on the normal channel can create a decent sense of depth as the reverb and vibrato only work on the Vibrato channel as with any DR. The only negative that I can think of is that the grill cloth on my unit is slightly misaligned but I'm only OCD enough to notice it, and not OCD enough to be deeply disturbed by it.

I bought this amp when i purchased my ultra strat 6 or 7 weeks ago. I am very happy with every feature, but i really find the power attenuation feature to be so useful. I can play with a full range of tonal response even early in the morning. I love this amp, and i had a very good sales experience at the long&mcquade in st. John's. Look forward to hearing what my 75th anniversary commemorative telecaster and ultra jazzmaster sound like running through it when they arrive! Thanks, long&mcquade!

Being new to Fender gear, I can not offer a comparison to tube amps. I have never used one. What I can say is that I really love the sound of this Tone Master Deluxe Blonde. I bought this amp last week to match the American Pro II Stratocaster which I bought several weeks ago and I don't think I could be any happier. It just seems to complement the voices of the Strat so well. Before that I was using my Boss Katana 100 MkII. That is also a very fine amp however I feel the Fender on Fender paring just sounds so much nicer, pure if you will. If you want clean I don't think you can beat a Fender amp. It has that sparkle to it like the ring of fine crystal. If its overdrive you want, just crank it up and it produces what I think is a very nice dirty sound. It breaks up really nice, not to heavy. And with the attenuator set to the lowest level you can still achieve the dirt without getting the whole household up in arms. Any negative views? A few, Its almost to light. I need to hold the amp when I plug into it or it simply pushes away, its that light. [OK, that might actually be a positive] I think its lighter than my Katana yet its physically bigger. The only thing I actually dislike is the little red lights on the included footswitch for your reverb and vibrato selection. They are REALLY bright!! I tend to sit right in front my pedal board and the light is actually blinding. Well, ok...very bright. Its annoying and I will have to find a way to dull it down a bit with out totally obscuring it. Probably great for the gigging professional in a dim environment but for me, a basement hobbyist it could be WAY dimmer. There are those who will say it must have tubes to be a proper amp. Well I say give the Tone Master amps a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. And its not just me. Google the reviews all over the net and you will see almost all agree. Thanks Mississauga Long & McQuade!

Tone Master Deluxe Reverb: Reverb Mod No Bright Cap Firmware v1.1.35 on Fender website. Modified reverb control for easier fine tuning at lower settings. No bright cap on vibrato channel for smoother treble response when using overdrive and distortion pedals at lower settings. Celestion Neo Creamback speaker line out IRs captured with Shure SM57 and Sennheiser MD 421 microphones. The updates allow you to have, via USB, mods that boutique amp builders add to Fender amps. Plus you can revert back to the original firmware easily and quickly via USB. These amps are the future. Playing a home at bedroom volumes via power scaling, playing on stage via amp on full power, recording via IR outs, no tubes to worry about, just great sound night after night. Months later the sound is still like fresh tubes. Sounds like a tube amp, feels like a tube amp, works like a tube amp, looks like a tube amp. Game changer. Nobody will know it's not a tube amp.

This amp is awesome. The colour, the sound, the effects, the light-weight build and the overall quality of it. I plugged a tele into it and I was blown away. It was everything I needed and wanted, along with there being 4 inputs and a foot switch for the two effects, reverb and vibrato. I’ll break it down for you. Body: A beautiful build with incredible light weight and colour to it. I didn’t think it would be that light: an astonishing 24 pounds. The design has no flaws and I’m really impressed by it. Sound: Having Tone Master in the name is not an understatement. It’s got a great clean tone and the effects add to it with great elegance. The reverb is a simple, but advanced spring reverb that’s awesome and filled with great tone. The vibrato is really impressive coming from someone who doesn’t really use vibrato. It’s a pretty solid effect that I’m happy they added to the amp. Accessories: The accessories consisted of a foot switch and a cover for the amp. I’m very happy with the cover as it’s a well functioning and greatly designed protector for the amp. The foot switch is really handy and I am obsessed with the craftsmanship put into it. I could not be happier with the accessories. Conclusion: This amp is beyond anything I’ve ever played. The price fit right on my budget and everything about it is magical, the requirement for all fender products. I am more than happy with this amp and I know any guitarist would love it.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
