The K3 coating is the first coating that players report, sounds as good or better than uncoated strings. DRs new, remarkable, proprietary and patent pending K3 Technology Coating is the first coating that makes no apologies and no excuses for not delivering sound equal to uncoated strings. Players tell us that these strings have more volume, less unwanted overtones, greater clarity and articulation then standard, uncoated strings. Yet, they provide the same protection due to corrosion and perspiration as well as increased tone life that coated strings are known for.

Q & A
There are currently no questions for this product.
I usually play Friday & Saturday of every week. My go to strings are Elixers for my Taylor 410ce. On a whim I purchased 2 sets of these strings, thinking they would perform close to the same, or at least be similar..(I'm really not picky when it comes to these type of things).. I put them on Thursday..played a 2 hour gig friday, I was constantly tuning but chalked it up to they were new strings and needed to stretch out a bit..An hour into my saturday gig, I was ready to take them off. My guitar was out of tune every 2 or 3 songs.. staying in tune with a capo on was impossible.. even hitting an open string sounds like I'm palm muting.. dull and flat.. almost like a nylon string. At half the price of Elixers, it was worth the gamble, but in the end, didn't pay off. My guitar has a brand new nut and saddle, and was professionally set up.. The only thing different is the strings. Sorry DR, but I don't be a repeat customer.

I can't quite put my finger on it, so to say,

resonate on my Epiphone Hummingbird
(also purchased @ the same L&M Downtown Toronto Location in 2012).
A real nice tone to them ....And, I get...are your strings black ?...or am I just weirded out (in lack of better terms better terms)...it's fun to trip em out when they see umm.....I've also use them ( DR Neon orange on my 5 string bass, and she sounds amazing.....recorded..or live.
