32-CHANNELS VIA USB IS NO LONGER A DREAM
A versatile multi-channel AD/DA converter and USB interface
Orion32 is a 32-channel A/D & D/A converter and audio master clock, supporting both MADI and USB interfaces, clocked by Antelopes renowned 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) technology.

Orion32 allows 192 kHz I/O streaming of 32-channel digital audio via USB, providing seamless connectivity to any USB-enabled DAW, computer or iPad. The converter also provides 32 channels of 96 kHz audio through its Fiber Optic MADI I/O connections, which can be used to connect with any suitably equipped MADI device.

Orion32 also supports ADAT protocol by offering 16 I/O channels, for even greater compatibility with a large number of audio devices. The multi-channel converter inputs and outputs pass the analog signal through 8 D-SUB 25 I/O connectors.

CUSTOM USB
Lowest latency levels both on Mac & PC
Using Antelope Audio custom-built USB chip, Orion32 achieves extremely low latency levels even when streaming simultaneously 32 channels in and 32 out.

The latency performance varies between only 1 and 6.5 ms for different hardware and software configurations.

INNOVATIVE ROUTING
Exceptional routing & mixing flexibility
With its seamless digital routing and mixing options, the Orion32 offers extended flexibility. The routing feature allows sound engineers to send the AD signal to both MADI and USB interfaces, for live mixing and monitoring.

The device is managed through a user-friendly desktop application available for both Windows and OS X.
Moreover it is equipped with a zero-latency mixer and five preset buttons for fast and easy recall of favourite settings.

32 CHANNELS IN 1U
Eco-friendly power consumption and design
Orion32 is packaged in a 1U enclosure with an eco-friendly power consumption of only 20 Watts. In addition to saving rack space and having very low heating levels, Orion32 comes with an extremely reasonable pricing affordable even for a small home studio.

SOUND AT ITS FINEST
Advanced Antelope Audio clocking & conversion for increased sonic accuracy
Orion32 perfectly addresses a sound engineer's need for high quality, clean and transparent conversion, combining the efficiency of MADI and USB interfaces with the perfection of Antelope clocking. Besides being an extremely high quality audio converter, Orion32 is also an audio master clock. The Orion 32 employs Antelope's proprietary 4th generation of AFC and oven controlled oscillator - both technologies that made Antelope Audio clocks an industry leader for accuracy and sound quality in recording, mastering and post-production facilities around the world. The four word clock outs, together with the 10 MHz input, make Orion 32 ideally suited to be in the center of any project or high-end studio.

This unit has been obsoleted by Antelope, and, they never wrote the driver correctly. (I use this in a pro capacity) . In addition, they never updated the bad driver, and has major problems if you are using this in a pro studio enviro on pc. It sounds good, but shame on Antelope, for dropping this product dead..in favour of their new offerings.

I have owned this for over 4 years now, and it has seen heavy daily use - often nearly maxing it out (32 inputs/24 outputs regularly). In all that time it has never once had an issue. Software updates are consistent improvements, and are seamless. My only beef with this unit, is the lack of dedicated monitor outputs - routing monitors out of a db25, around a db25 patch-bay makes things a lot more difficult than they needed to be. Glad to see that improvement on the 32+, which I will be adding to my studio very soon.

The Orion is a pretty incredible feat of technology! Pro - offers 32ch I/O of AD/DA Pro - works over USB Pro - $3k Pro - Sounds beautiful Pro - well designed Pro - offers standalone mode (which I prefer) Pro - offers connectivity over MADI Con - computer console is confusing to use Con - only offers 16 I/O over ADAT Con - still fairly new to the driver / software development SUMMARY - Well-worth buying if you need 32ch I/O. I'd recommend using in standalone mode, and using a more established interface developer like RME for digital connectivity to your computer.

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty.

Warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?

Performance Guarantee - normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage.

Product Replacement - if your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.

No Lemon Policy - your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.

Convenient - easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.

Guitar Setup - Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.

Loaners Available - a loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.

Power Surge Protection - your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.

Accessory Coverage - any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.

Commercial Use Coverage - music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty.Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, woodwind pads, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Accidental or cosmetic damage is not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

NEW products: 4% of selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.

USED products: 4% of selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year. Pricing for used electronic products is 4% of the original new selling price.

GUITARS: 4% of selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.

BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: $40 up to $2,000 selling price. BRASS and STRINGS: 2% of the selling price after $2,000. WOODWINDS: 4% of the selling price after $2,000.

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
