I am a reed player in pit bands, orchestras and rock bands. I find these earplugs excellant since I can still hear other instruments, & people but without the damaging loudness. I wear them to concerts too.

This is really excellent hearing protection for drummers. I use it whenever I practice with acoustic drum kit. It reduces the sound while preserving the quality. Oftentimes I noticed that the clarity of sound with these ear plugs is even better than without them - especially when playing a lot of cymbal-heavy beats/fills.
Also I quite like the carrying case, it's just practical.
