This thing looks the part and feels great in your hands. I love picking it up and feeling the slim taper D neck. However, I seem to be having tuning issues. This may go up for sale sometime soon and I will use the money for an SG Custom.
Also the nut from factory was absolute trash. Had really high action and was made of cheap plastic. This guitar is no longer in production so if you are looking here chances are you are looking at one used. Just be aware of tuning instability and a potential nut job. Otherwise this plays really nicely and sounds great. I enjoy the coil tap, but I feel like I may invest in a Strat at some point to get that true authentic tone from a single coil.

I have wanted an SG since 1976. In my home town to check on my Mom and we out for a drive to look at Xmas lights. Walk in to look around the new L & Mc Store. There it was staring at me. USED Epiphone SG 400 Pro ... not a mark on it. If there is one then I put it there ... The action was a liitle high but that is OK. I am learning to play Electric Slide Guitar so it now has 12 gauge strings. I just love this thing ... $349 Used and my Birthday was the next day ... In the store 15 minutes and its New Guitar Day !!! Incredible value for the $$$$ ... The Build Quality, Overall Appearance, Fit and Finish, Pickups, Tuners ( Holds Tune really well very stable ) ... all great .... Buy one ... You Will Love !!!

The sound and feel of this guitar are up to snuff, and are actually quite good for this price range. No complaints there. But Epiphone is clearly using bargain basement parts. The silver covers that say "tone" and "volume" have already fallen off two control knobs. The jack comes loose and falls inside the guitar body every few days. It will not stay in tune. I think that's all. Aside from the fact that it's falling apart after only three months of semi-regular use, it's an awesome guitar.

I bought one of these in the fall of 2019 on a whim. Needed a set-up which I had done, and it plays great. They aren't real good sellers on the second hand market though. If you buy one of these you're stuck with it unless you take a bigger loss than you already would selling it yourself. Been trying to get rid of mine for 6 months now. People just aren't into this guitar. Most say because they think it's ugly and neck heavy...which it is. Ugly though? Not sure about that. Had one Jesus freak tell me it looked like the devil. WTF? Great guitar, but it doesn't sound a whole lot different than a Les Paul . Different feel though with the longer neck. I recommend this guitar for someone just starting out, or for the seasoned musician looking to add to their collection for an economical price.

Very nice instrument. I initially thought about swapping out the pickups for some EMGs but these Alnicos have a tremendously warm tone that I've really fallen in love with. Feels great in my hands, easy to play. The g string doesn't like to stay in tune, I'm going to swap out the strings and see if a lighter gauge might help. All in all this guitar is my new baby, I've already christened her "Ruby" aka The Red Devil.

I am an Ibanez fanboy, however I do tend to enjoy SG bodystyle guitars, and Les Pauls, and with Gibson I always worry about the whole headstock thing. (( Gibson headstocks are angled at 17 degrees, Epiphone is at 14 degrees.)) So when I saw the Epiphone, my brain told me "Meh, it's not a Gibson, it's under $1000, it's gonna suck." My heart told me to shut up and just sit down and try it. Instantly blown away. I had brought my iPad with me which has BIAS FX, and my iRig so I could jam, and my speaker was a SONY XB31 portable bluetooth. I didn't want to put the guitar down. I tried at least another 10+ guitars, ranging from $500 - $1800. I am poor, however money wasn't fully an issue. This guitar simply was not going to leave my hands. There were others I enjoyed as much at $1500 range...this is 1/3 price. I've been playing guitar for 30+ years on and off, and though I'm not good, I can still tell you that the sustain of this guitar unplugged is nice. Please...pick a guitar up, and before you start slapping amps, pedals, or effect processor apps like BIAS FX, AXIOM, Amplitube, etc. play it unplugged acoustically. I have an Ibanez Iceman Paul Stanley signature PS120 model which is roughly $1350 over twice the weight, has ebony fretboard, and this SG sounds better unplugged, and it's a bit louder. I'm not saying that means anything, however I thought I'd share. When plugged in, sure, for my taste I prefer the Iceman's 59' Neck and Custom 5 bridge Seymour Duncans. Remember I am a die hard Ibanez fanboy, however I call a spade a spade. Next time you walk into a store, and you see something that catches your eye, please ignore the name on the headstock, and at least give it a try unplugged for a moment, then of course plug it in. Yes, there are better guitars, I won't deny that, but at this price range? I haven't myself yet found another contender. Sorry for the long rant.

Purchased 1 month ago. I really wanted a Gibson sg but... at 1/4 the price hard to beat this. Nut needed a little attention but many of the Gibson would have also to my liking. 20min job. Rest was pretty well set up. No buzzing with preferred action. Stock pick ups sound great.. split coil option. Not sure what else to say. On sale.. 2 thumbs up. p.s. stays in tune fine.

Bought this Jan.15th from my local music store. Great looking guitar. Fit and finish is great. But it just won't stay in tune. One minute it's flat, the next it's sharp. The tuners are terrible. You turn them and the string pitch doesn't move. Will be requesting a return. Very disappointed in this guitar.

I rx'd this as a gift. Mine has the gold hardware, which is particularly eye-popping, against the deep red cherry finish. I have several electric guitars in my arsenal, but this one is quickly becoming a favourite. I admit to having a bit of a bias against Made In China guitars. Many seem to be made on the cheap, with little attention to quality, primarily to cash in on their more famous name-brand counterparts. But this one is changing my mind. The fit and finish is top notch, and the sound is great! It is a truly beautiful guitar, and nice to play. I can't see how I'd be any happier with a Gibson SG, and it is certainly much easier on the budget than its pricier cousin. I highly recommend this to anyone considering it.

These have ballooned in price over the years, I was lucky to pick one at an unbelievable price of $223 dollars used. I found this beauty at a local second hand store. My model is from 2013 and doesn't have binding on the fretboard which the latest versions do, they get better and better. I was looking at a gibson sg but this is just fine. They say it has a slim taper neck but isn't, it's quite thick and neck heavy, just be careful. What I love is that there no shrinking of the neck in the wintertime wereas some guitars from asia suffer from sharp fret ends, not this. AC/DC, The Who, The Doors, Black Sabbath, it's here to discover.

I have to admit I bought one on a whim, but wasn't disappointed-I noticed immediately that its construction was very solid, despite having such a lovely eye-catching appearance in the original-SG burgundy red, which I admit swayed me, but I found that it's actually a real guitar underneath. The body, the bridge, the neck and even the control pots right down to the humbucking pickups are all very nice, and how L&M can put these on sale and still make a profit escapes me. So compared with a Gibson SG.. it felt just a little bit clunky and the strings maybe didn't feel quite as 'live', but if you don't have several times the cash to burn this will definitly fit the bill, and easily make a great choice for a first electric, then become a back-up guitar (you want to change a string when you're playing in a show??) and later on you can sacrifice it on stage when you're a rock god!

I've bought the Gibson SG Standard T (2017) so I could do a comparison between these two guitars. And my goodness, this Epiphone is an EXCELLENT guitar, it can go on par with my Gibson. Please please PLEASE do not hesitate to buy this, and don't let the Epiphone name on the headstock fool you, it is an amazing guitar, I highly recommend you pick it up.

I recently bought this guitar. I love it. The finish is gorgeous in red (you can see the nice wood grain through the finish), the action is great, the tone is beautiful and it has awesome versatility overall. I owed lots of instruments, and I can guarantee that it's a great value. -I bought an amp as well, so I did financing, and I must say, L and M's financing options are also fantastic.

I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years and have owned a variety of different instruments. I was recently in the market for a new electric guitar and wanted a SG as I had a chance of playing one a few years ago and really liked it. I didn't feel like paying the big name pricetag so I went with the much cheaper Epiphone version and I am glad I did. The guitar is built very well and is flawless. Originally I was worried about what the pick ups would sound like and wanted to order a set of EMG's alongside the guitar but there is no need. The pick ups sound fantastic both clean and distorted and the coil tapping option is great. I play mostly metal and this guitar delivers. Overall this is a well built and great sounding guitar that is worth every penny. Can't recommend it enough.

I asked for this guitar for Christmas (assuming I probably wouldn't get it). It was a bit of a gamble for me, as I wasn't sure how a cheaper version of a better but very pricey guitar would be. Obviously, I did get it, and let me just say it is AMAZING. I play rock and metal, and this suits my needs PERFECTLY. The build quality is great, the pickups sound wonderful, and it's easy to glide across the strings (assuming they're nice and clean). I would highly recommend this guitar, not just as a budget guitar, but as a guitar you wouldn't be afraid to play, and sound amazing while doing so.

Got this guitar almost 4 years ago and it still sounds great. Never had any real problems except having to tighten the strap buttons every so often. Overall an excellent guitar for the price!

I have played this many times, and I have to say, this has the feel of a classic sg for what I like to call the "epiphone made up the sg, and gibson charges way to much price" price. I would love an sg, and this has great value for price. This is a glue neck so the upper fret access is great and
I am an angus young/ac/dc fan, so I am all in!

Ive used this guitar for a year now and i have to say it is amazing. I play heavy metal and this guitar does the job right. Plus bending and sliding are so easy you barely have to press on the strings. overall the best guitar for heavy metal i have experienced

Achat d’années additionnelles de garantie
Certains fabricants offrent une garantie de plus d’un an, mais qui est en général limitée et moins avantageuse que la nôtre. Lorsque c’est le cas, la prolongation de notre protection vous sera tout de même profitable, du fait qu’elle est plus complète et pratique.
Vous pouvez acheter des années supplémentaires de notre protection si vous souhaitez en profiter plus longtemps. Les tarifs sont les suivants :
- Produits NEUFS : à partir de 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf par année supplémentaire.
- Produits D’OCCASION : à partir de 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf pour passer initialement de trois mois à un an. À partir de 4 % pour chaque année de plus.
