Great mouthpiece. Very high quality, and definitely worth the price. The Bach mouthpiece manual says this mouthpiece is the "same size and rim as No. 12 but with a more brilliant, crisp tone". This is a very accurate description of what the mouthpiece achieves. Personally, as a Trombonist with a naturally mellow tone, this mouthpiece has helped me to achieve a brighter tone in classical settings and bring more of a punch and achieve an accented tone in jazz settings. Also, I can use the 12C to play at a sustainable volume for extended periods of time without feeling fatigued (as compared to other, larger mouthpieces which do cause fatigue). I'm very happy with this product, and 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a Trombone (or Euphonium/Baritone) mouthpiece on the smaller end of the spectrum.
