Out of all of Les Paul's many achievements; inventor, guitarist, and hit recording artist, Les is most beloved among musicians for inspiring the Les Paul Standard, one of the most sought-after guitars in the world. And now, the Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plustop PRO gives the legend a fresh start with ProBucker-2 and ProBucker-3 pickups with coil-tapping, a AAA flame maple veneer top, and beautiful new color finishes including Honeyburst (inspired by late 50s vintage Les Pauls), Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Trans Blue, Vintage Sunburst and Wine Red.

Epiphones history with legendary guitarist and innovator Les Paul dates back to the early 1940s when Les, working nights at the Epiphone factory on 14th Street in New York City, created one of the first solid body electric guitars, better known as The Log. Over the next 15 years, Les continued to develop his dream guitar that would sustain for days and in the late 50s, the historic Gibson and Epiphone factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan produced the sunburst Les Paul Standard and its new pickup, the PAF humbucker.

Players like Joe Bonamassa, Slash, Ace Frehley, Zakk Wylde, Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson and countless others get their signature sound from a sunburst Les Paul and now Epiphone gives you a chance to experience that one-of-a-kind tone at an affordable price with the Les Paul Standard Plustop PRO. The Les Paul Standard Plustop PRO features ProBucker PAF-style pickups with coil-tapping, new colors and a beautiful AAA flame maple veneer top for a vintage look with all the modern appointments that players expect from Epiphone.

This gorgeous Les Paul plays like a beauty. The sounds is just incredible. I use a AFD 100 Marshall Amp and its just insane. Definitely recommend this guitar! It's a perfect guitar for beginners and advanced players too. Price is range is reasonable for and Epiphone Les Paul and you most definitely won't regret the purchase!

As a drummer in the 60s-70s, the lead guitarist always blew me away. Now that I have the time, I'm attempting to find how those guys could conjure up their magic.. I have a Strat, but the EPI Les Paul Standard Pro (Cherry Burst) I got at L&M London South last August is hard to put down. Love the neck, clean tones and overall feel of the guitar. I recommend this guitar for anyone trying to learn a few licks for fun.

Great guitar, a little overpriced just for a "veneer" and coil tapping but what can you do. I happen to have brought the 2015 model a few months back, it's still pretty dang good. Very dark and barky tones, however I would prefer and recommend the Gibson Faded T SG, it's around the same price and it sounds better. My only problem is that you have to tune it every now and then, but overall an awesome guitar!

I bought my Honeyburst LP from L&M last year. IMO, it's the very best value for money in a guitar. I've checked out the Gibson LP and cannot really see anything that makes it worth 4x as much money. For me, playing the guitar is where it's at, and not how much money you throw at a new guitar. Now that doesn't mean it's a perfect guitar. A couple of things bother me. First, the nut is nothing special. Second, removing the knobs can cause the entire stem to come out of the pot, and then when you put it back it, it doesn't stay secure. Third, the bridge is problematic in that the wire doesn't secure the screws from buzzing (you can replace it with a Gotoh bridge). Fourth, the tuners have some backlash, so tuning it is a little harder. But overall, it's the very best you can get for $500-$600.

Mine was Handcrafted in china but i must say it is really well done! the finish are too good to be true! Just replace the epiphone name with a gibson and you can't tell the differrence! there's no need to change the pick ups unless you have the extra buck nonetheless this is a wonderfull guitar. I use it for my church and it works really well with the type of music i play;D i recommend getting the Vox Ac15c1 as an amp and the Line6 POD HD500x as the pedal board these combination is the best rig for any genre of music:D

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
