Q & A

Question: Does the shielding continuity extend to the ethercon shell? I read somewhere that the black shells aren't conductive, but I don't think that is 100% true.

Answer: The Black shells are not conductive. Depending on your application it may not be important. Behringer/Midas products want a conductive shell.
