SE Zach Myers - Beauty and a Beast

Figured Maple Veneer on Top & Headstock | Satin Finish on Neck | Volume & Tone for Each Pickup
The SE Zach Myers is packed with features that will satisfy even the most demanding musicians. Featuring a chambered mahogany body with maple cap, flame maple veneer, and single f-hole, the SE Zach Myers provides smooth mid-range tones with a natural, resonant internal reverb. The resonance of the semi-hollow body paired with the smooth feel of the satin finish neck will make an immediate impression in your hands. Additional appointments to the PRS SE Zach Myers signature model include a 22-fret, 24.5" scale length neck, PRS adjustable stoptail bridge, vintage-style tuners, and PRS-designed 245 "S" pickups paired with two volume and two tone controls and a 3-way toggle pickup switch. These pickups bring high-end clarity, low-end power, and an overall aggressive punch that maintains a certain sweetness.

Zach Myers, lead guitarist of the multi-platinum rock band Shinedown, picked up a PRS Custom 22 at the age of fifteen and announced his first SE signature model in 2010. As a guitarist who has rocked PRS on stage and teched for several PRS bands, Myers has an intimate understanding of how a guitar should feel and what the build quality should be. Those details have again created an eye-popping player?s guitar that can take a beating.

This is my Les Paul, my tele, my strat and prs semi-hollow - it does most of the sounds I look for in an electric guitar. I love the look, the feel , the sound and the price!. It took a full hour for me to set it up, (strings to 10's, neck relief, & intonation), but well worth the effort. My favorite electric now.

This guitar simply put brings me so much joy every time I play it. The neck is a dream. Has a few minor factory QC issues but very minor. I strongly recommend you try this bad boy if you get the chance.

I have the 2020 version of this SE. I heard there are a few modification with this newer version and heard good things about it. I honestly like this blue better than my green though still very nice. Only negative thing I have to say about mine, and the reason I gave it a 4 for quality, are the pickups. I feel they sounded a bit muddy and I didn't really care for the tones either so I got those replaced with Seymour Duncan. Man what a difference. I'm not sure if the same can be said about this version though. Even though I dished out a couple extra $$$ to get new pickups...Totally Worth It. I find I have to clean the pots quite often too, however, that might just be because of how humid our corner of the world is. I don't know. Otherwise, the neck feels like silk, it's fairly light-weight and feel like it's worth more than what I paid for it.

The website pictures don't do this beauty justice. It's a beautiful deep blue color. I personally love singlecut model guitars so I may be a touch biased to the feel. The look is fantastic but the actual guitar itself is a machine. Came in a nice brown PRS gigbag, tightly packed and secure. No sharp fret ends, no buzzing, perfectly intonated straight out of the bag. I play with 10-52's and the nut works really well, SE's in the past had some serious nut issues but it seems to have been remedied lately. Great mid-range and that semi-hollow just adds a touch to the clean sound that just boosts the acoustics just a bit, while being able to shred when distorted. These SE's are built in Indonesia but it really doesn't look or feel like you would expect, this is high-quality stuff. When people see this guitar they ask me how much it costs, when I tell them they are shocked and I've received many comments that it looks AND sounds like a USA PRS. Couldn't be happier with this guitar, she's easily my #1 as of now.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
