This is the case that comes with the higher end but not Custom Shop Fenders; I have had several - Strat, Tele (same case), and a Jazzmaster.
They are way tougher than the vinyl over wood cases, and TSA approved - whereas the standard Fender case I wouldn’t trust the lock.
The storage area is better, too - I can fit a Tele pickguard (I swap mine for fun ones) and all the case candy, too. Plus a strap.
As far as I’m concerned, unless you’re going to a tour level steel case, this is the best that the dollar can get.

The case is light which is great. The exterior of the case looks and feels good as well. The latches are easy to open but it makes me question how they will hold up over time. It comes with a lock on the middle latch and two decent keys.
Unfortunately the interior of the case feels cheaper with the material looking like a shaggy mess and a little loose in some spots. I’m not sure if it’s intentional or not. I have a MIM Strat Player Plus Top. I opted to get this case instead of the Yorkville one because I expected this to feel more premium at more than double the price. From the outside it definitely looks and feels more premium. The inside just feels and looks a little less than premium.
Keep in mind this case is meant to fit both Strat and Tele guitars both left and right handed, so do not expect it to fit like a glove.
If the case lasts, than it will be worth it. Only time will tell. Hope this helps.

I got this case with my LH American Elite Strat. It's a $2550 dollar guitar. The case insert is made to fit multiple different guitars- both left and right handed Strats and Teles. I also have this case for my American Professional Jazz bass, LH. The case insert fits that bass like a glove- cut exactly for the shape of the body. It was $550 dollars less than the Strat. If they can make an exact fit for the case insert for the LH Jazz bass, they could certainly make an exact fit for their high end Strats and Teles. Fender shouldn't cheap out on case inserts for their best guitars.

I really like the case included with my Fender Jazz Bass Elite, so I decided to buy this case for my Fender Strat Original. Good quality, beautiful materials, strong and trustful case. I was a bit surprised to see that it can fit left hand or right hand guitar. The case for my bass fits only right hand base. I was a bit surprised to see that the keys included can fit on both cases... ...so the lock is a bit cheap.
J'aimais vraiment la boite de ma basse Jazz Elite de Fender, alors j'ai décidé d'acheter la boite pour ma guitare Strat Originale de Fender. Très bonne qualité, de beaux matériaux, solide et fiable. J'ai été un peu surprise de voir que la boite peut accueillir les guitares pour gaucher et pour droitier. La boite de ma basse ne peut accueillir que les basses de droitier. J'ai été un peu surprise de voir que les clés ouvrent mes 2 boites... ...donc la qualité de la serrure laisse un peu à désirer.
