A Perfect Gentleman From a Classic Era.

The magical combination of tremolo and reverb is the earliest example of a perfect guitar effects marriage. First pioneered within historic amplifiers of the 1960s, this harmonious coexistence has made it's way onto countless records and performancesfrom early surf, swampy bayou blues, spaghetti westerns, film noir soundtracks, to modern day indie rock. There are certain things in life that just belong togetherthe blend of tremolo and reverb create the perfect pair.

Given this storied history, there was no doubt that we wanted to develop a studio-class effects pedal that delivers this classic combination. We carefully studied our favorite classic tremolo and reverb circuits, examined the sonic complexities, and faithfully accounted for every detail in our hand-crafted algorithms. Flint harnesses the complete power of a SHARC DSP to authentically exhibit these details.

Flint gives you the soothing, pulsating, and hypnotic effects that were pioneered in vintage amplifier tremolo circuits, along with three classic and completely unique reverb algorithms. You get the sonically complex '61 Harmonic Tremolo, the swampy and sultry '63 Power Tube Tremolo, and the sharp and balanced '65 Photocell Tremolo. You also get the classic '60s Spring Tank Reverb, the inventive '70s Electronic Plate Reverb, and the nostalgic '80s Hall Rack Reverb.

With eight parameters to tweak, you get extensive control over the tremolo and reverb characteristics. Go from splashy, pulsing twang, to throbbing, swampy blues, all the way to ambient, trembling, and serene reverberated pads. Couple that with true bypass, and a high quality analog front end and output section, and you have yourself the history of tremolo and reverb in a pedal-board friendly format.

I had it under warranty and it hissed a really high pitch lightly in the 80's setting. Tried different outlets, different buildings, the power supply that came with it, tried it with a Strymon Zuma power supply. Did not try it in a box or with a fox. It went away for service to the States and came back, same problem. At least L&M stands behind their stuff. Jeff B at Pembina Ave. in Winnipeg took care of me as I upgrade to a BigSky. I miss the tremolo of this pedal though. Cheers.

Just purchased @ L&M in Windsor. Thanks Bill C. Great sounds and it brings too tomes alive. So much deeper, Fuller, I have an AC 30 And it really enhances the Reverb more so than the AC. I can skip using the revel on the Vox

Strymon knocked it out of the park with this one. "Dry signal through" means your tone is always intact, the notes have clarity and integrity - the effect is layered on top. I never thought I would choose a digital unit over the wonderful 5 spring Accutronic spring reverb in my Rivera, but sometimes I do. A must-have pedal if you have an amp with no reverb, like the wonderful little Fender Champ that I use for home practise. The reverb options are all very musical and flexible, from a nice spring-type to a cavernous hall. Clean and musical sounds, no harsh artifacts, no shrill high end. And the tremolo sounds are really nice - 3 options in terms of wave form, lots of flexibility in terms of speed and intensity. The '63 tube trem is my favourite, great for that swampy sound with slide or sustained chords. Love this dual pedal! Power it properly (500 ma of isolated power) and put it at the end of your signal path, and you will not be sorry.

This pedal rocks! I was searching for a good Trem that could replicate a tube bias trem style. After trying 5 other trem pedals I fell in love with this one. A bit pricy? Yes, but you can hear the diffrence and really, this is 2 awesome pedals rolled into 1 so in that perspective, it's quite a decent price for what your getting. I knew the Trem sounded great but what I'm really impressed with is how beautiful and organic the Reverbs sound. I ended up taking off my HOF pedal and now the Flint is my Primary reverb. And don't get me started on the Harmonic Trem setting. It sounds awesome. I've played other boutique pedals that attempted to replicate this effect but The Flint Nails it! I do wish that it had tap tempo built in, instead of as an add on option. Another nice thing i would of loved is if there was an led tap light to visually show your speed. Not a deal breaker by any means, but hence why I gave 4.5 on Features. This pedal has quickly became my favorite stomp box.

I tried various pedals for both trem and verb. This pedal is great for both in one unit. But very expensive!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
