This mic stand is pretty sturdy and relatively adjustable. It does have some pretty major flaws however: 1) the base wobbles back and forth quite loosely. If your floor or desk are not perfectly level, you can expect the arm to move back and forth. There is no way to secure it. I am going to try and find a rubber band or something to put in the bottom for some added friction, but at this price I shouldn't have to do that. 2) The base can also easily pop out of the desk clamp while adjusting the microphone arm vertically. Because the articulation points are all spring loaded this means you can accidentally shoot the bottom of the arm at a piece of a valuable piece of gear. Totally inacceptable for a piece of gear of this price. 3) There is no horizontal adjustment possibility. While I understand why that wasn't possible with this design, it's still annoying. Pros: - No annoying spring resonance noises like with cheaper mic arms - It's pretty - The nested cable routing is useful and helps keep things tidy. - holds a heavier mic (I use an RE20) Overall impression: if I were shopping for something like this again today, I don't think I would buy this again.

Mic stand feels sturdy and easily supports the weight of my SM7B. Springs in each of the joints mean the mic stand can’t violently drop your microphone even if the screws on the joints are loosened. Means you have to fight with the joints a tiny bit to get them on the position you want but otherwise works great. Also comes with small mic mount extender so that the xlr cable on the SM7B is not pushed out. Great product.
