This splash was outstanding and matched the sound I wanted out of a cymbal like this. I play mostly gospel, and this splash is absolutely perfect for it. This is the sound you want - iconic, quick, and distinct.
Pairs nicely with an arrangement of hi-hats too.
(will not break if you hit it hard!!)
I tried this and the AAX Air and this one topped it. In my opinion, it has more character than the aax air, but that splash is very good as well - will be adding it to my set later on.
The HHX Evolution is the sound I think a good splash should make.

I had $150 to spend on a splash. Auditioned every splash in the store (about 30 of them), and this one won. It was the exact brightness and quick decay I was looking for. It was even better than more expensive ones. I'd describe it as the perfect sweet quick crystalline burst. It's missing any of that midrange "clang" that a ton of splashes have. I've used this splash on recordings, and it's even better sounding in a studio mix.
