I bought this and sat it on top of an AAX splash for that perfect mid-pitched, accented cymbal sound. I purchased this with the AAX splash because I Mike Portnoy used to use this exact combination and the sound was amazing. I was happy to discover the cymbals sounded exactly how I wanted them to when I received them. In my opinion, the Hand Hammered line of Sabian cymbals are the best on the planet and will be replacing my other primary cymbals with them when I have the disposable income. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for.
