Cympads are a must have for true cymbal performance. I was thinking of getting new cymbals, but after replacing worn out felts on all my stands with new cympads my cymbals move more freely and naturally and also shimmer more and resonate more. I am very happy with the result. I got the starter pack for the different sizes of cymbals, they have specific cympads for hi-hat, ride and crash cymbals. I still use regular felts on top of the cymbal. I highly reccomed.
