I have never owned a designated guitar chair, but when my wife asked me for ideas for a Xmas gift, a guitar chair seemed like a wonderful luxury. Definitely better than a kitchen chair, lol! Having and degenerative disc in my lower back makes playing in a chair painful after a while . This was great! Easy to assemble, seems to be made of quality parts and makes playing while sitting a much more enjoyable experience. My only criticism is that the little grippers on the foot rest seem cheap and come off easily. It was a great deal at $129! Not sure I would pay $195, but it seems like a great chair.

It’s about time someone made a comfortable stool for guitar players..I like the lumbar support and the foot rest.someone mentioned in a review that the seat wasn’t comfortable anymore...that is a minor problem..have it refinished to your liking..the price is not bad as it’s well made.

I loved this at first, it was great, fantastic lumbar support, but after 1 year of use the seat cushion is flat, and is really uncomfortable to sit on. Maybe if I can have someone re-appolster this with a solid seat foam it could be useful again. Disappointing to say the least, especially for the price you pay.

I bought this chair yesterday but already I'm pretty happy with it. I've used other chairs. A guitar stool (which was too high for my feet to reach the ground), a kitchen chair, the couch, a piano bench and none of them worked for me although I tried for many years. My feet can hit the floor finally and the bench is really comfortable. Keeping the back rest with the pad in the lowest position gives my back the support it really needs. It is heavy but that's what I prefer for stability. This chair hits all of the check marks for me.

Just purchased, 3rd Dec, 2019 Very simple assembly, "appears" to be very well made. Am 5'9" and with seat in lowest position can reach "most" of my pedals on my Novo 24" Footrest a touch wobbly but solid none-the-less. Footrest easily adjustable to accommodate playing style As noted by others, seat IS a tad on the firm side and chair is heavy enough to merit staying in one place which for my use, is excellent. Pleased with purchase so far !

I wrote a review from my experience from sitting on this stool while in store, now that I own this stool I can say it's well worth the price. I have a bad back and the back rest is perfect for me. This stool without the back rest is $115 and this one with the back rest is $145. Now that I have it at home, I can say it's worth the money. My posture is much better & back doesn't ache from playing. My guitar is very comfortable in my lap & doesn't slide down my leg with the adjustable foot rest, it's easy and comfortable to step on my distortion pedal and get my foot back up onto the foot rest and not miss a note & stay in time with whatever song I'm playing I recommend this stool to any & all musicians 5/5 for me!

I don't own one YET, I'm planning on getting one soon. When I'm in store and play a guitar, I sit on it. It's perfect, I have a bad back and it's awkward to hold a guitar in my lap while playing, this makes it VERY comfortable. When I have the money to get one, I will be getting one.

I've been using this as a piano & organ seat for the last year, paired with a Koenig & Meyer 18880 three-tier keyboard stand with one octave of bass pedals on the floor beneath. The upholstery and mechanisms all seem to be holding up well. I replaced the rubber feet with felt pads that slide across my wooden floor. I find the back rest to be uncomfortable and useless; I never touch it and only keep it installed because that's the most convenient place to store it :P Mine is all-black, and I definitely prefer it to the black-and-blue look pictured above, but it isn't an elegant-looking piece of furniture like a traditional organ bench, but the adjustability is worth sacrificing some style. It kind of looks like a piece of exercise equipment. The cushion is good enough for an hour or two of music practice, but I don't know that I would want to sit on it full-time. When playing pedals, some pants I own have too much friction against the seat for me to move my legs around easily. The height settings are 3-4cm apart, and you can use an additional pillow or foam floor tiles if you need more resolution. I use the adjustable footrest when not playing the pedals.
