Monitor Humidity • Battery Life • Temperature • Impact

TaylorSense™ is a new guitar health monitoring system that puts the vital signs of your Taylor guitar into the palm of your hand. TaylorSense alerts you when your guitar needs care by communicating via low-energy Bluetooth between the TaylorSense smart battery box and the free TaylorSense App on your iOS or Android mobile device. Shaped by Taylor's extensive guitar care expertise, TaylorSense is calibrated to send you timely alerts and includes easy-to-follow videos that show you how to solve problems when they arise.

The TaylorSense battery box is compatible with any Taylor pickup with a 9V battery. This includes Expression System 1 (ES1), Expression System 2 (ES2), ES-N (nylon-string) and ES-T.

• The TaylorSense smart battery box replaces the 9V battery box in a Taylor guitar.
• The smart battery box houses sensors that monitor humidity, temperature, pickup battery life and physical impact.
• Guitar health data is pushed from the smart battery box to the free TaylorSense iOS or Android App via low-energy Bluetooth.
• The TaylorSense App presents data in easy-to-follow screens and proactively delivers alerts and "how to fix" videos when the guitar needs care

The TaylorSense Mobile App is compatible with most iOS and Android mobile devices and operating system versions. Installing the battery box is easy thanks to simple detailed instructions available at TaylorSense.com, or you can have an authorized Taylor service technician do it.

works really well, its lovely to see the humidity and battery levels on the guitar - especially when playing live or about to be playing live for an extended period of time.

I've owned a TaylorSense device (Android) since before it was commercially available (I was a Beta tester). Although I like the concept, I find that it regularly (daily) provides incorrect information. I receive notifications from the unit that the temperature has dropped below freezing (it's kept inside the house and goes nowhere close to freezing), and that the humidity dropped dangerously low or climbed dangerously high (a humidistat in the guitar case shows humidity at a constant 45%). I reported the problem to Taylor and received another unit to test - and got the same incorrect readings. Taylor stopped responding to my e-mails describing the problem. I also find that the unit quickly runs down the battery. I no longer use the unit for its intended purpose. After every time that I use the guitar, I remove the TaylorSense unit and keep it in the accessory box in order to preserve battery power. I wouldn't mind having my old battery box back. I gave the unit a rating of 4 for features (I like the features, they just don't work for me), and a 4 for value, again assuming that the unit does what it's supposed to do (mine obviously doesn't). I gave it a low rating for quality, given my experience with 2 units.
